Amazing staff, specially the receptionists, the bedroom is so comfortable and beautiful & it’s extremely clean. Food is amazing. Very warm, the rooms.

Modern, clean and convenient! Close to a train station, grocery store basically attached, great food options surrounding the area. Loved staying here.

Beds were a little soft, but that’s just a personal opinion. The rooms were great and very clean.

Expensive and not worth it

We did the check-in more than 1 hour later because the room was not ready on time. The system was also not working. Room service was very poor: they didn’t refill tissues or coffee, didn’t clean the cutlery, there was no bag in the toilet bin, and they didn’t provide shampoo, body lotion, dental kit, etc. The lighting in the room was quite bad, and one of the lamps was even slightly broken. I attached some pictures to prove that, but it only allowed me to upload 4 photos. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Completely overpriced.

Bright and Spacious Room Near the City Center

Friendly staff and a great location. We enjoyed a lovely walk from the Bierkaai (perfect spot for a drink) to Fenix and back. The room was spacious and bright — very comfortable overall. It was clean, though a bit worn in some areas. Pillows were great. The large dining table with six chairs felt unnecessary. There was also a huge TV in the bedroom, but it wasn’t a smart TV and had no channels — might as well not have it there, haha. Breakfast was good but not amazing.

Street parking proved cheaper than the garage at €3.12 per hour. (ofcourse depending on your arrival and departure) The bedsheet lacked elastic, leaving the worn mattress exposed with every movement. Also the duvet was very thin for autumn.

One member of staff was quite rude at breakfast when telling us he didn't have time to serve us a coffee. He did in the end though.

Convenient location for a short stay without a car.

Location and decor were good. Pretty new, tidy and clean.

Long corridors to get to our room. Shortcut door up from Lidl did not work with room key. Not enough closet space in room or space for suitcases. Breakfast not well lit or labelled. Parking arrangement not clear during booking and very expensive.

Great hotel construction but very poor service.

The design of the hotel is stylish, and the location is convenient. One receptionist (a Dutch gentleman) was very professional, polite, and helpful compared to the rest of the staff.

Housekeeping was extremely poor. The first night crumbs and trash were left behind, the bed wasn’t tucked properly, and tables were barely wiped. Even after addressing it, cleaning was inconsistent: trash bags left, tissue boxes missing, vacuuming not done properly. In one case, housekeeping changed sheets without checking, causing our phone to be lost in the laundry and we had to search through dirty sheets in the basement ourselves. Reception was understaffed, system down so we couldn’t even recalibrate our key, and the apology we received was minimal with excuses instead of solutions. Overall, very disappointing and unprofessional for a “boutique” hotel.

good location, friendly staff

we had a skyline view room: which is very spatious and nice view. The hotel has been restored and a nice mix of vintage and retro style which we enjoyed. The beds are also good.

PARKING of the hotel is 29 euro's...so if you stay outside, you can do it cheaper: sundays free until 12h. Further on the urgently need to UPGRADE the fitness: it stated "luxury high quality" fitness... only 1 bike, 1 runnigmill and the rests only weights... so no spinning avaible for us, unfortunately

It is located in a very uncomfortable neighborhood and not family friendly. We interacted with people in the hotel that were harassing my wife and my daughter!! The carpet on the corridors was so dirty. The door lock on my room was broken!

Very convenient stay

The hotel is located close to the center, still in a quiet area. It has a paying parking which is very convenient. The family room we took was spacious and very nice, the whole hotel having a design vibe which is interesting. Good breakfast and helpful personnel!

Bittersweet since it was not what we expected but we made the most of it with each other

Staff was very friendly, patient and helpful

We were not made aware of any renovations, no bar, restaurant or lounge available during our stay and only breakfast in the room this was unfortunate and if communicated correctly we would have made use of our cancelation option and book elsewhere and come here when renovation was done. Also the family room even though clean, the beds are very small, two adults is not comfortable.

Comfortable and enjoyable stay.

1- Their staff is remarkably helpful, more than the usual you'd expect from good hotels. They are really keen on making your stay great, and they addressed the issues we had promptly and easily. 2 -Car park. Even though it is a bit expensive, it provides great peace of mind, especially for such a location.

1- Some rooms have no shower privacy. Might be a challenge taking a shower while other room occupants can glance at you. Thankfully they moved us to a good room.

It looks very promising when you arrive / super friendly staff at the reception but the restaurant is disappointing overall - staff is chatting a lot and has no eye for the few guests. The culinary adventure is a one without love and passion cooking, just not tasty enough and standard food of the fridge . The place has potential but as it functions now it is just an hotel outlet - we can not recommend it

I’ve done a lot of travel (in my opinion) and stayed in a lot of diferent properties. I’ve been in hospitality bussines for the past 20 years. this is maybe the worst 4*+ hotel I ever stayed. miss communication between the staff (3 diferent times) location of the room THE ROOM !!!!!!!!! nobody serve you in the lobby in most the the day

False advertising

The room I stayed in at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, it was not as advertised in the photos. I found the layout to be completely different from what was shown online. The toilet, sink and shower were all in different places, which was not what I had expected. When I inquired with the hotel staff about this, they were dismissive and rude, claiming that they couldn't take photos of every single room. However, I later learned that all Standard King Rooms have this room layout, with the shower not even having a door, which made me feel very cold whenever I showered. Adding to my dissatisfaction, the room was located on the far side of the hotel, which meant I had to take two elevators and a staircase just to reach it from the reception desk. When I complained to both the hotel staff and to booking.com, they were unhelpful and suggested that I simply find somewhere else to stay. They also informed me that I would only be refunded for two out of the three nights of my stay, which I found completely unacceptable. Despite the fact that my colleagues were also staying at this hotel and there were no other available rooms in Rotterdam, the staff did not seem to care about my discomfort. They repeatedly told me that since I had booked through booking.com, it was not their responsibility to ensure that the room layout was accurately represented. I was disappointed with the breakfast as well, as there wasn't much variety for a hotel that claims to be 5-star. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was not what I had expected, the staff were unhelpful and rude, and the overall experience was extremely disappointing.
