About this house rental
This lovely oceanfront home boasts a stunning and expansive view of Penobscot Bay. The ocean side of the house is lined with windows and french doors open to the spacious deck--perfect for grilling, relaxing and taking in the view. Wake up and fall asleep with the sound of the ocean and the smell of the salt air. Wonderful wooded walking trails out the back door and a private clay tennis court within walking distance complete the experience. The house has a wood stove and 2 zones of heating - for chillier weather in late fall, winter and early spring. This home is open, sunny and comfortable with water views from every room and wide pine floors throughout.
There is a half bath downstairs and three bedrooms and a full bathroom (with claw foot tub and separate shower) upstairs. The master bedroom has wonderful views, a full closet and queen bed. The guest room has a double bed, full closet and a water view, and the 'kids' room has two single beds and an amazing birds eye view of the water. This house combines casual elegance with charm for the perfect getaway. The house is pet friendly (great trails for dog walking), though we may require a deposit depending on your dog(s). Fully equip kitchen for those who like cooking. If you prefer to eat out, lots of terrific restaurants in Rockland area (20 mins away).
We have recently built another cottage next door which is often occupied by our family and occasionally rented. This land has been in my family for generations, we have brought our kids here for holidays and summers, they are growing up and we built the new cottage in anticipation of the next generation!

Beautiful location! The house is extremely clean, exactly as pictured with stunning ocean views. It was perfect for what we were looking for - something quiet and peaceful, where we could relax, read, hike, play tennis, do some fishing, and enjoy the ocean views. Wonderful to wake up, sit on the deck, sip coffee, and watch lobster boats. The house itself was very well laid out including a well-stocked kitchen making cooking easy. The location is extremely quiet and has wonderful trails for hiking. Owner (Merritt) was very friendly and helpful. Overall, amazing place! We loved it.

Beautiful Property at the end of a small road. Quiet, Peaceful. Everything we needed for a quiet family vacation. The house is just perfect. And perfectly maintained. Short ride to the Tenant Harbor General Store. A little longer ride to Rockland, Rockport and Camden for restaurants and tourist stores. Lobster boats picking their traps just off shore. Sailboats wandering by. Beautiful walking trails on property.

Gorgeous setting, lovely cottage, very private. Our dog loved the property and surrounding area. The kitchen was well stocked and the best part...waking up looking out over the ocean.
