Welcome to your private escape in Mission Hills — a gorgeous 4,200 sq ft Mediterranean villa tucked quietly along Spruce Canyon, yet only 1.5 miles from Downtown San Diego. This spacious 6‑bedroom estate features custom ironwork, multiple balconies, and serene canyon views that make you feel like you're a world away.
Built in 2005 and renovated by renown San Diego designer Karin Gross in 2026, step into the stunning designer kitchen and family room, the modern, elegant heart of the home — perfect for gathering, cooking, and relaxing together.
A dramatic staircase leads to the elegant primary suite, complete with downtown views and a luxurious step in XL shower. All bedrooms feature plush foam‑topper mattresses with 3 of them being "Purple Beds" for heavenly comfort and a peaceful night's sleep. We offer a total of 4 King beds, 4 Queen beds, and one double sofa bed, comfortably sleeping up to 10 guests.
We welcome quiet, respectful groups and do require host approval for any guest count over 10, with an added per‑person, per‑day fee for additional guests.
To ensure the privacy and tranquility of our canyon neighborhood, we strictly prohibit events or parties. For safety and compliance, we have two exterior-only security cameras:
Front-facing camera monitoring the entry and street activity.
Side‑facing backyard camera (not directed into the home).
If you’re looking for a venue to host a party or loud gathering, this is not the right home. But if you’re seeking luxury, serenity, nature, and a stunning retreat close to everything, you’ve found the perfect place.

Our host Mathew was very welcoming and accessible as needed. The house was perfect for my family to base ourselves while in San Diego for my daughter’s wedding.

Property was beautiful and location was close to airport. The floors could've been cleaned a little better, though overall our stay was very enjoyable and would recommend to others.

At first glance, the property is beautiful and has an amazing interior w/ comfortable beds. Our poor experience stems from the fact that it seems like the locks never change and that anyone can walk in at any time. During our stay, a future guest entered the house saying he was told he could stay there for the night by the property manager. Upon contacting the manager he said this was not true but did not offer any other solution or compensation for this intruder. He was able to enter the house without our group letting him in meaning many people have access to this door whenever they are going to stay. It was an unfortunate occurrence that left a horrible impression of the property, the manager, and the owner on our group. Additionally, the backyard Ring camera faces directly into the house so if your group does not put down the shade the property manager will be able to see your group through your stay. The property manager has control of the AC and most of the house's systems remotely and does change settings that you set for your group. To the owner's credit, he originally charged our group for a shade that had fallen due to faulty adhesive but upon hearing the story he refunded that sum. In addition, upon contacting VRBO they did little to help and our group was contacted by an employee of VRBO who asked for our group to compensate him so he would help us. Overall this VRBO experience was incredibly jarring and we wouldn't likely use them again let alone stay at this property.
