Welcome to Sugar Bear Lodge. This grand home sits across from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort in Banner Elk, perfect for a family or friend ski retreat!

Sleeping Accommodations:
This home has 3 bedrooms and 3 additional private sleeping spaces.
Main Level: Master King Room with private full bathroom, Two Queen Rooms with a shared full bath, a Full Sleeper Sofa in Living Room, half bath
Lower Level: King Room, Queen Room, Room with Twin over Twin bunk and Twin over Full Bunk, shared bathroom with a tiled shower

Step through the doors to the upscale kitchen, stocked with new furnishings and appliances for the chef in the family! Go through to the cozy living room with a gas fireplace to curl up in front of and plenty of seating for the family to enjoy and evening of laughs and memories. Just off of the kitchen and living area, the large deck hosts plenty of chairs to relax with your morning coffee and take in the views of the mountains and Sugar Mountain ski slopes. You can also see this amazing view from the master bedroom, located on the main level with king bed and en suite bathroom. Just out the french doors of the master, take advantage of the brand new sauna.

Entertain the family with a round of billiards, located in the open loft area or go down to the lower level, where you will find a poker table, dart board, and large entertainment center for movie nights. After a day on the slopes or hiking on the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway, take a dip in the large hot tub, located just outside of the lower level or spend time around the fire pit in the private yard. This giant home is made for memories, whether you want to take it easy and put your feet up or go out and find your next adventure.

Additional Important Notes:
-Firewood may be added at the time of booking or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You receive two wrapped bundles and a fire starter for $25/night.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

-This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs (DOGS MUST BE 40 POUNDS OR LESS EACH) with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
