CASA ENCANTADA, THE SECLUDED ESTATE ON THE MANATEE RIVER! Spend your vacation at a private estate on 220 ft of open water with tropical landscaping and a beautiful lagoon pool! BE SURE TO SEE THE VIDEO!
There is so much to do at Casa Encantada that some guests choose to never leave during their stay. And, in fact, if you choose our provisioning package, you never have to leave! Your groceries and drinks will be there waiting for you when you arrive! Fishing, kayaking, biking, swimming, sunbathing...do all of it or simply relax. Choose the Boater's Package option for beautiful trips to local waterfront bars and restaurants, nearby beaches, islands, fishing spots and uninhabited coves. Events such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, reunions (with owner approval) are perfect at Casa Encantada! In the town of Palmetto, a virtually undiscovered "old Florida" historic town, the locals are warm and friendly. Palmetto is close to Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa and Anna Maria Island. Casa Encantada is gated and fenced, with the exception of the waterfront, for your privacy. There is a totally fenced area just for your dogs, complete with a warm water shower...also with a waterfront view. The tropical lagoon pool has a beach entry, waterfall, baja ledge and swim up cocktail table. There is a large standing cooler and a refrigerator under the tiki hut for your ice/drinks as you sip a cocktail by the pool . A float box has numerous floats for the pool. The game Corn Hole is right there for fun family competition! You'll enjoy sunbathing on the spacious pool deck, relaxing in a hammock or sitting under the fan in the shade of your own private tiki hut. The tiki hut's bar is cleverly designed from an old ship's rudder. We also have a pool table for your enjoyment and fun!
Facing due West on secluded Hooker Bay, just 5 minutes by boat to Tampa Bay, the sunsets are unsurpassed and are a daily main event. The waterfront patio is perfect for watching the sunset, dolphins and manatees. Every evening, thousands of birds fly by at the first hint of dusk, and head home to Emerson Point, a bird sanctuary just 2 miles north. Great blue herons, spoonbill rosettes, sea gulls, cormorants, night herons, skimmers, ospreys, egrets, pelicans often stop by for a snack of bait fish right on your beach, just feet away. Hooker Bay is known as the best fishing spot between the Manatee River and Tampa Bay. Snook, redfish, trout, flounder, mangrove snapper, even tarpon are plentiful. Your 'front yard' is a legally protected manatee feeding area. You can wade or kayak out and watch from as close as a few feet away. Or you can see them from shore as they come up for air.
The home is large with an amazing cook's kitchen with two refrigerators,quartz counter tops and three sinks. The family room, kitchen and wet bar are all in one open room with expansive views of the water, wildlife and sunsets. The dining room seats 12 overlooking Hooker Bay.. Open the doors for true waterfront dining. The adjacent living room has a working fireplace and water view. There are three large, comfortable bedrooms, all with water views and flat screen TV's. The master bedroom is large with a king size bed and a view of Hooker Bay.. The bath has a walk in shower. All linens are top quality. It has a large dresser, dressing table and walk in closet. The second bedroom also has a king bed, walk in closet and view of Hooker Bay and the lagoon pool. It shares a bath with a tub, shower and double sinks with the third bedroom, which has over sized twin beds, large closet and a view of the lagoon pool. This entire end of the house can be closed off with a pocket door creating a private suite. This feature makes Casa Encantada the perfect home for 2 or 3 couples. There are no stairs - one story only. Outside there is an area complete with outdoor seating and dining and two grills -- your choice: gas or charcoal. Nearby Casa Encantada are numerous state parks, golf courses, beaches and fine dining.

This house has been THE best vacation property we've rented to date. The house is very homey and comfortable, even the beds. The pool was awesome and the beach access with kayaks included was so fun. My son fished all week and couldn't wait until the tide went out every night to do so. From the house it was easy to get to surrounding areas and beaches. If you are looking for a family and dog friendly house that has literally everything you need for a wonderful getaway, this is the place to stay. Thank you Captain Julia for a great week!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful home! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the spacious layout, pretty views of the Manatee River, and all the thoughtful amenities provided.The resort-style pool was the highlight of our trip... perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful waterfront setting. We also loved having access to the kayaks and bikes, which allowed us to explore the area and make the most of the beautiful surroundings. The pool table provided hours of fun for our group as well.The home itself is incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The huge kitchen was a dream, fully equipped and ideal for preparing meals and gathering together. Every room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained.The location is gorgeous, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and outdoor recreation. Whether enjoying coffee by the river, taking a kayak out on the water, or spending the day by the pool, there was always something to enjoy.We couldn't have asked for a better vacation home and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale getaway. We would gladly stay here again!

We all had a great time. The location right on the water let us kayak and paddle board every day. We swam in the pool daily and spent a lot of time outdoors. Such a great family time!
