River Anchorage - a cosy and affordable 3 bedroom beach house, few minutes walk to river, Ocean Grove Golf Club, river walks, The Groove Café, 10-15 minute walk to surf beach, and Ocean Grove Main Street Shops. It's a short drive to the historic town of Queenscliff, Pt. Lonsdale, Geelong, Torquay, Portarlington olive groves and wineries, St. Leonards, the Bellarine coastal drive, Ocean Grove Pool complex and the marvellous Geelong Adventure Park - great for the kids and loads of fun. Just a one hour drive to Lorne via the Great Ocean Road. A great location to enjoy exploring the Bellarine Peninsula and all its treasures, or just staying put in River Anchorage and enjoying your idealic holiday location.
River Anchorage has 3 good sized bedrooms, main with queen bed, 2nd with bunk bed and single bed, and 3rd with a double bed, sleeping a total of 7. There is one bathroom with shower, bath, and one toilet. The kitchen, dining, living area is open plan and includes gas heating and cosy open fire place, there are fans to cater for warmer days. The living area includes TV, DVD, stereo. Kitchen is well equipped including microwave, and electric upright oven and hotplates, refrigerator, and good supply of appliances. There is a breakfast bar which seats 4 and a kitchen and dining table. The laundry includes washing machine. Outdoors there is front and back fenced yard with BBQ and outdoor setting. The house has dual driveway access (back entry to Whitton Street and Barwon River - 200m walk to river, 900m to surf beach and 700m to shops a fantastic location for family holiday or week-end stay. River Walk Beach House is clean, neat and well furnished and fitted out to cater for all holiday needs.
NO WIFI OR AIR-CONDITIONING (there are pedestal fans in bedrooms).

Only downside, it lacked quite a few kitchen items and utensils… no chopping board, grater, tin opener, peeler, spatula. No washing powder. Rangehood did not work at all. Also, not that it mattered to us but no digital TV channels, no internet, and we could not get DVD player to work.

It was ok a bit crowded with run down furniture and a deep clean would be good.
The comunication was excellent and it was ok staying there
