REOPENING SPRING 2026! Robinson's Roost is undergoing a total renovation! We hope you will enjoy our new look.
Robinson's Roost is located in northeast Alabama on Guntersville Lake, on the Main Channel of the Tennessee River. It is approximately 1.5-2 miles south of Goosepond Colony Resort by boat, in the North Sauty area, just north of Mink Creek. Goosepond Marina hosts multiple bass fishing tournaments and is available for refueling while boating. Boat rental is available at Lakeshore Watercraft Rental located at 2300 County Park Road, Scottsboro. LSWR is under new management and is offering quality equipment.
Robinson's Roost offers:
1) ~3000/sf with password protected WIFI
2) 5 bedrooms/2 baths
3) Open living area with fully stocked kitchen
4) 65in HDTV and DVD player
5) Dining area with 55in HDTV, 2 tables seating 12-16
6) Large sun porch with 2 sofas and several chairs, 1 pub table and 4 chairs, a 50in HDTV and DVD player
7) 5 Bedrooms with 8 beds, sleeping 14:
Bedroom 1: 1 Queen bed
Bedroom 2: 1 Queen bed
Bedroom 3: 1 King
Bedroom 4: 2 Queen beds
Bedroom 5: 2 Queen beds
Sheets and towels are all 100% cotton and are washed with bleach.
8) Large TRAEGER PELLET GRILL (bring your wood pellets, available at Home Depot) plus a small park-style CHARCOAL grill
Boathouse:
1) 1 Boat slip
2) 1 Adult kayak
3) 1 Adult canoe
4) 3 Youth kayaks
5) Floats
6) Folding chairs
7) Garage doors that can be raised to open up the dock area
8) Electric outlets for recharging

There is parking for up to 5 trucks with trailers with NO street parking available. Ask for specifics when requesting your reservation.

The water level is controlled by TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) but generally fluctuates between 6-7 feet deep at the end of the pier.
Guntersville Lake is known for freshwater sports fishing, especially largemouth bass. Kids from 3-103 enjoy fishing from the dock and are often quite successful. Any given day's catch might include largemouth bass, bream, catfish, crappie or even alligator gar!

We booked Robinson’s Roost for our family Christmas vacation! We had 8 adults and five children (ages 5 - 7yrs). The location was great, close to small town Alabama (I highly recommend Payne’s Sandwich Shop in Scottsboro) and on Lake Guntersville!The house gave us plenty of space to congregate and talk and eat and solve puzzles and have Christmas! I was initially concerned that two bathrooms for 13 people would be a problem, but it was not at all!! The house is well equipped, the rooms are quiet and the beds are very comfortable! The owner was also Awesome and very responsive to any questions I had!I highly recommend Robinson’s Roost for your next vacation!

The house was perfect for our family to get together and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. The beds were all very comfortable. The porch was perfect for hanging out and playing games with the kids while others watched football in the living room. The kitchen was ideal. We would definitely stay there again.

Property is located in in a great place on Lake Guntersville. We were there Fishing so we’re very close to boat ramps any direction we wanted to go. There were a total of nine of us. Everyone had a bed plenty of room for cooking and just hanging out. We had a total of four trucks and boats and parking worked out great with no issues. I would definitely recommend this place for fisherman of large groups to stay if you’re in the area.

Perfect setting for a girls weekend. The house met all our needs, but could use a good cleaning and some repairs.
We enjoyed paddling around the lake. Since we were all adults, we could have used more adult size kayaks. Enjoyed the deck and large dining area. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
