Dormy Inn Premium Fukui Natural Hot Spring

Summer in Japan when writing this and 35 degrees last night when I entered the hotel in a sweaty mess. It was cool and efficient and my rooms aircon was on when I entered my room. Often in hotels it’s not, and you have to wait a while for the room to cool down. The room was well equipped and it’s a pleasure to stay even just for one night.

Dormy Inn provided a bit more than what I would expect a business hotel to provide. They had all the basic amenities, were very clean and easy to reach. The Onsen were really nice and clean, with all the amenities you need, which really brought the whole experience up for me. If you are trying to budget and don't care to have a special hotel, 100% recommended. Also loved the free ice cream (in the evening) and free Yakult (in the morning) for after the Onsen. And the manga library, if only I could read Japanese. They also have free half portion ramen apparently, though we didn't have that.

The parking was a bit chaotic. The attendant, who didn't speak any English in all fairness, was rather crass and pushy. I think I had also missed the info on parking being paid. The easy to park, open spaces were reserved, so we weren't allowed there and instead guided to the automated multi-storey car storage facility. Have to stay that was a new and fun experience to see one of those haha.

Lovely hotel, has everything you need. 6 minutes walk from the station. Would stay again,

Spa was excellent, breakfast was fab and overall hotel great.
