Offering the perfect blend of restoration and timeless design, this stately home central to town is bordered by the Cudgegong River with all of Mudgee’s best offerings within easy reach. Practically designed and incredibly spacious, Mudgee Country Grandeur offers everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay including a fenced swimming pool, games room with pool table, plenty of entertaining space inside and out with a BBQ, pizza oven and fire pit, plus six oversized bedrooms.
Located just a three-minute drive from the town centre and moments to Mudgee’s flagship vineyards, Mudgee Country Grandeur is a classic masterpiece for up to twelve guests. Spread across two floors, pass through the well-manicured rose gardens before entering the parlour, with a grand original Victorian staircase.
The first floor offers a well-equipped kitchen with two-door fridge, stainless steel oven and stove top, a breakfast bar, and everything you need to cook for the group at home. Social gatherings are made easy with a formal dining room seating eight.
Kick back and relax on the living room sofa in front of the TV with Foxtel or grab a page-turning book from the collection and sink into the couch in the sunroom, looking out onto the pool and extended garden. A bedroom with a double is right across from the downstairs bathroom fitted with a shower, vanity and toilet.
Upstairs, grand windows overlooking the pool and gardens make the master bedroom a soothing idyll with a king bed and an ensuite bathroom offering a two person shower, and walk-in wardrobe. Two other bedrooms also offer king beds while the fourth and fifth bedrooms both feature a queen. They are catered by a spacious bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet and vanity.
Venture outside and enjoy a cool splash in the pool or gather on the undercover patio with a gas BBQ where you can enjoy dinner alfresco style at the twelve-seater dining table. Pool towels are provided for all guests.
The adjacent games room has room for everyone–sing along around the two pianos, play a game of billiards around the full size table surrounded by sports memorabilia, or pop on your favourite movie. Additional luxuries include internal laundry with a washing machine and dryer, circular rose-lined driveway for parking, a game & DVD selection along with Wi-Fi throughout.

The house was very clean and spacious for our group of 12. The kitchen inclusions were more than we expected and everything we needed. The pool was very clean and enjoyable. All The beds very cosy and comfortable. The outdoor seating was a little uncomfortable due to the material being worn. My only suggestion would be there is a trip hazard on the outside deck with the table and chairs where there is a gap between the steps.

Had everything we needed for a weekend beds really comfy…firepit unusable down the back too big for a basic fire needed a trailer of wood before any warmth…spa bath out of order which was disappointing amd not advised prior..a lovely place to stay otherwise had it all thanks

We decided to have a staycation for our family Christmas get together this year and it was just perfect. Our Sydney family and ourselves plus a few of the locals stayed here with up to 17 coming and going over weekend . So much space for everyone to spread out and enjoy all that was on offer. The pool , the outdoor deck, pool table indoors, multiple tvs, plenty of fridge space, pizza oven and just about anything you could think of was included in the kitchen. The beds, showers etc were all very comfy and the ducted aircon was amazing especially given the size of the rooms. We also took advantage of Bliss catering for our first night/ next morning . Beautifully presented and so much we had plenty for a few days. This was a fabulous place to stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. The location was so close to downtown but felt like we were in the bush. Just perfect - thanks so much.The Marchant and Lee families -Christmas 2024

Unfortunately we couldn't use the outdoor areas as 6 out of the 10 of us were suffering badly from allergies. The neighbours on either side have highly potent jasmine and privit hanging over into the property. One neighbour has a yard of chickens and a very noisy rooster 🐓 ....they also have a large tree full of bats. We ended up washing everything in the kitchen before we used it after finding lipstick marks on glasses and a few other dirty things. The property itself suited our needs.
