About this house rental
Ideal family vacation spot located one hour north of Portland, Maine in peaceful Popham Beach. Move in to our three-story, 120 year old, stately Victorian, 100 yards from the beach. Fenced-in yard, screened-in back porch, two family rooms each with TV, game room, old piano, four queen-size beds, one full, three twins, and one baby bed and several beach chairs.
Very renter friendly home with all the amenities you could possibly want and need for a restful vacation. New eat-in kitchen with two cooktops, dishwasher, two refrigerators, and plenty of kitchen storage.
Start your morning sipping coffee in one of the rockers on the large, wrap-around front porch or settle yourself by the wonderful kitchen bay window. Either place is instantly addictive! Let the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep after a tough day on the beach. So much or so little to do, depending on your preference. Popham Beach has been known to get in your blood so be prepared!
We offer 'off season' prices for June, September and October. This is a perfect place for three or four couples to use as a 'soft place to fall'.....it's quiet, beautiful and offers a wonderful atmosphere to kick back and relax.

Our stay was amazing. Being with famiky and making memories is truly a gift. The house "The Pilot House" was perfect. We cooked, we laughed, we played indoor and outdoor games and we walked the beach.

The location to the beach, the size of the house and being dog friendly was exactly what we were looking for. The memories we made in that short weekend were everlasting.

The house couldn’t have been more well-equipped. Very comfortable. A kitchen one can really cook in, with more pans and utensils that we could use. Very clean. Excellent location. The fenced-in yard meant our dogs could enjoy the unseasonably warm weather outdoors, without being able to bolt.

We, six adults and two teenagers, spent a lovely week in the Pilot House. The house was fully equipped, nicely furnished and very clean. The location, just off of the beach on the Kennebec River was wonderful. A short walk to a private path led to the beach. I, as a fisherman, and the other guests, loved the ease of access to the beach for sunbathing, walks, drift wood art, dog walking and the beautiful views of West Point, Wood and Pond Islands and the mouth of the river. The kitchen was superbly equipped with everything necessary from gourmet meals to breakfast. The house is informal but very comfortable. The fenced in yard was nicely maintained as were the flower and herb gardens. Our dogs loved the yard and we were happy they were in a secure fenced area. Our week was very hot, especially for Maine, but there were fans in every bedroom and a whole house fan as well. We loved the wrap around porch, the library, the screened in back porch and the game room. The owner couldn't have been nicer to deal with. I have rented properties here, in the Caribbean, and in Europe, and can say without hesitation that the Pilot House is one of my all time favorites.
