Dubbo Rhino Lodge

The size of the tent and the bathroom were great. I liked that it wasn't a big property and it was quiet

I wish the tents were facing the other way so I could unzip the tent but still have privacy. A place to eat that was open.

Great location Nice and clean Friendly staff

What a great place! We stayed here after a day at the zoo, it was very conveniently located for that. The kids enjoyed the park and the pool and made new friends. It was so convenient to have the Lodge for dinner and breakfast too, providing a great feed at good prices just a few steps away. Very relaxed atmosphere. During our travels I also managed to break my ankle, so they moved us to an accessible tent and after 3 and a half weeks in a cast and wheelchair, this was the best shower I had the whole trip. The bathroom and tent was genuinely wheelchair accessible and easy for me to get around. Very much appreciated after staying elsewhere with accessible amenities that weren't so well set out. I also enjoyed opening the tent window and laying in bed watching the light fade and the stars come out while listening to the frogs. Bliss!

No complaints, it was brilliant!

the accommodation was good, but the place obviously caters for events and functions and not holidaymakers. Very comfortable beds and great hot water.

Self check in is terrible. Made it a very non-friendly experience. The restuarant is only open on Friday and Saturdays so if you are looking for dinner or breakfast any other day you need to drive all the way into Dubbo. The table service for breakfast is way too long and we had to wait 45mins for our order. The sausages I was given for breakfast looked like they had been cooked the night before. The accommodation needs to have a small table inside the room as trying to make a cup of tea/coffee is near impossible when you only have the top of a bar fridge to do this.
