Casa Los Pinos Torrox by Ruralidays

We really loved the layout of the house, how spacious and clean everything was, and how well-equipped it was. It was great to have little things like a hairdryer and an iron available. We also really appreciated the lovely welcome basket that was left for us – such a sweet and thoughtful gesture! :) The views were absolutely stunning, both during the day and in the evening. I also went for a walk up the hill, and the views from there were even more breathtaking – huge mountains on one side and the beautiful sea on the other. Just amazing! The owner was also very friendly and kind. During our stay, he came by to water the plants and carry out the regular pool maintenance, which we already knew about from the information provided in the house. He even picked some fresh, delicious mangoes for us, which was such a lovely gesture!

The road leading up to the house was a bit stressful to drive on. It’s very narrow, especially going up and down the hill, and we were always worried about meeting another car coming from the opposite direction, as there would be almost no space to pass each other. A little tip for future guests: instead of trying to park directly in front of the house, it’s much easier to drive a little further uphill, turn around, and then reverse into the parking space. The biggest disappointment was the check-in experience. We were sent GPS coordinates by the staff, but when we arrived, the access code didn’t work. Then someone came out from the property and told us that it was actually his home! We contacted the staff, and they said they might have sent us the wrong coordinates and that we needed to wait for the correct ones. It turned out that the original location wasn’t even in the right town! This was quite frustrating, especially after travelling, and definitely could have been handled better.

De privacy, de rust, het huis in het algemeen, de ruime tuin, het zwembad, de goede ligbedden rond het zwembad, de buitendouche, de buitenbarbecue, de complete keuken. Goede airco en goede wifi. Fijne locatie, dichtbij Torrox Costa (Lidl, Aldi, Mercadona en veel strandrestaurants en chiringuitos vlakbij). Maar een auto is absoluut noodzakelijk!

Grote spinnen in het huis, veel wespen en mieren in de tuin, waardoor je 's avonds niet buiten kunt zitten of eten. Het was september, wespenmaand. De douche en badkamer zijn iets te klein voor "noordeuropese" gasten. Het tweepersoonsbed in de hoofdslaapkamer is te klein voor twee volwassenen.

The villa was brilliant and had everything we needed and the views were incredible. It was so quiet and peaceful, we will definitely return. The outdoor furniture and the pool were excellent. Amazing place to chill in the sun. It's extremely rural so you would definitely need a car and the road up to it can be a difficult drive so be wary of that. Totally worth it when you get there for the views and the quiet. We met the owner who was lovely and brought some fresh mangos from the trees beneath the villa. One tip, make sure you always have the key on you, if the door slams, you will be locked out. Every time we opened the door we opened the other half to make sure this didnt happen.

Not really a dislike as we loved it but need a new microwave as it wasn't great. We loved everything else.
