Three bedrooms have queen-sized beds, while the loft is furnished with 1 full-sized bed and 2 twin-sized beds, all enough to comfortably sleep 10 people. For families with babies, there is a collapsible playpen with sheets for your convenience. The comfy living room and basement bedroom offer Smart TV's with local channels, Firesticks with Netflix, Prime, HBO now, and Sling TV +. WI-FI internet throughout. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with all the amenities from home, including a Keurig, panini press, a rice cooker, Ninja blender, plus a BBQ right off the kitchen sliding door. There is ample parking behind the house for 3 cars and 1 permit for street parking. Our stay was terrific. The house is charmingly quaint and extremely well equipped. Each of us (four couples) had our own bedroom and the common areas are more than adequate for all of us gathering together. While we did not have dinners at the house, we easily prepared our breakfasts and lunches in the well stocked kitchen. The location of the house is great. It is right at the edge of a park with a playground, basketball and pickleball courts, and is a short walk to the beach. We took advantage of the outdoor equipment in the “shed” (bikes and beach chairs) behind the house. The house is close enough to the downtown area of Coeur d’Alene that we were able to walk nearly every place we wanted to go for shopping and dining. We liked having an easily (for us) remembered door code that negated the need for a key. There is also parking space behind the house so we did not even need the parking permit provided.The host Flo was always very quick to respond to our questions. Overall we and our three adult children and their spouses thoroughly enjoyed our three day visit to Coeur d’Alene and our stay at the Fort Grounds house. (July 7 - 10, 2025)Thank you.

We were in town for my mother's funeral. Perfect location for early morning and evening walks. We could meet family across the street at the park and visit while the kids played. There was an issue with the door code, Flo was very responsive and the issue was resolved almost immediately. Would definitely stay again.

Overall, this home had all the amenities we needed to make it a home-away-from-home, and my family was very happy with it. It was very clean, we could find everything easily, and there were no amenities we wanted. Being right across from the Fort Sherman Park was great. The only thing I would caution is for family with young kids: the bedrooms are on 3 different levels, so if a kid wakes up in the middle of the night s/he will have to go up/down stairs to get to the parents; you cannot get from one bedroom to another without encountering stairs. The bedrooms that work best for kids have a step down immediately upon opening the bedroom door. We worked around this through the following: One of the top floor rooms has a queen bed with a little alcove that has a table and chairs for kids. We hauled the twin mattresses from another room and placed them in the alcove and we slept in the queen bed in the same room. The kids loved it, and they are still asking to go back to this house!

We went to parks, played pickleball, walked downtown, hung out at the lake, hiked on Tubbs hill, ate dinner on back deck. We had everything we needed. There were some water toys and bikes in shed. There were good instructions for all of it! We would stay here again. It is great for Families of all ages except for people who can't do any stairs. The AC was so appreciated this August!!! House had all the amenities we needed! Very Minor things for owner to know. None of these things affected our stay. -VRBO had an issue and sent me instructions for another house. I didn't get the key code to open house until I contacted owner and they had to text me and get message sent again. -bikes were not a necessity obviously and only a perk, but they do need a tune-up. We had fun riding the tandems either way though. -BBQ had not been cleaned for a long time in our opinion. We wanted to use it, so we cleaned it up. -the stove cover below microwave fell off. It was held up by tape. We just had to retape it to stay. -glass sliding door was hard to open and close. Might be hard for an older person. -when we were at the house, we didn't lock the outer door. But that's the only way the outer front door would stay closed. There is an inner door, so it stayed cool in house still. Thank you for sharing your home. 🙂

Absolutely loved this property. It is within walking distance of a beautiful park, the lake, Coeur d’Alene resort, downtown, and several courts for pickleball etc. The unit came stocked with all kinds of water toys and bikes. Slept 9 adults very comfortably. Host replied quickly and was very accommodating. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Pros: Location. This house is located within a few minutes walking to the beach. The park with a huge playground is also very close. Parking. There is enough space to park 3 vehicles, one on the street and 2 in the back. There was a confusion with use of the garage, though. While the email instructions from the owner clearly stated that the 2 car garage is available for use and that the garage key is inside of the house, as well as the driveway is not for guest use, we spend quite a bit of time looking for both. Kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked: there are plenty of dishes, cookware and utensils, as well as good amenities. Additionally, patio has many chairs, and grill is available for use and works well. Water/AC. It was great that ACs were available in each room, and we could adjust air temperature to our liking. Considering the summer heat, it is a lifesaver. There was no issues with hot/cold water at all.Cons. Safety. The kitchen door screen is torn at the bottom . The dishwasher is not attached as it should be and is wobbly. Cleanliness. Our family of four stayed in the bedroom in the attic and the floors were dirty and dusty The surfaces had crumbles/ sand that gave us an impression that the house has only light cleaning. No professonal cleaning was envolved, despite charged fee for each individual.Please be prepared to bend down in one of the bedrooms, as it is located in the attic where you only have about 20% of space where you can fully stand.

This sweet home worked so well for our family and dog. The location is absolutely incredible and you can walk to everything. The securely fenced yard and A/C units in each bedroom were especially useful. We plan to return to CDA and would love to rent this home again. (We had a small kerfuffle regarding our check in but our host worked to quickly resolve beyond our expectations.)

Prime CDA location The house is steps away from the park and beach and walking distance to shops and dining. Everything needed for a day at the beach is available for use, including a wagon! The house was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Some low thresholds so those over 6’2 need to be very careful passing through. The yard is fenced and does share access with another rental. Flo was very responsive and easy to deal with.

My husband and I, daughter, her husband and their 5 kids, ages 1-10 had a wonderful time. The location was perfect. We could walk to the park, the beach and playground. Kitchen was setup perfect with a big kitchen table with benches where we played board games and ate. Bathrooms updated, clean and stocked well. I forgot my pillow which i travel with but the pillows and linens were soft! Each room had an air conditioner which was nice! I would recommend this property and we can't wait to return!

House was very comfortable. Location is unbeatable! Some of the bedrooms for kids are a little quirky, but they had so much fun in their sleeping spaces that it kept them occupied! We enjoyed the outdoor eating area a lot as well. We had so much fun with the activities that we did not watch TV, so I can;t comment about infotainment.

We’ve stayed at another property with Flo numerous times and have always been very happy with our stay and this one lived up to our expectations. Stayed with our friends and their two kids along with my wife and kids. Everyone still had plenty of room (kids took over the upstairs). Perfect location for us, right next to lake and everything else you might want to do in the area. Highly recommend, we’ll be back.

It's an older home but well kept. The location is fantastic; we didn't drive anywhere - just walked. Lots of stairs in home with some lower ceilings. Would've liked to use the bicycles but need some repairs. The wagon & floats were great for the beach. The sliding glass doors could use a good cleaning. Overall, a cute house with great location.

We came for a week with our family 40+, and I rented several homes. My daughter and her family stayed here with us. We had a wonderful time. The home is clean, updated and had a kitchen stocked with what was needed to cook and clean up. The owner is very gracious and helpful, and available when needed. The location is perfect for families, a block from the beach and just across the street from a wonderful park—playgrounds, skate park, pickle ball courts, futsol court, etc, and walking distance to shops and restaurants. It was great. The home also had bicycles, float toys, sand toys, the large wagon to get it all to the beach, and beach chairs too!

My family and my sister’s family stayed in the home for the Ironman race. The home was well stocked with everything we needed and had plenty of rooms and beds to accommodate our group. There were so many extras we didn’t even use, but cool that they were there (bikes galore, coolers, playpens, etc!). A nice yard for the kids to play in and the adults to relax right off the kitchen was nice. The two main beds are a little creaky, but they were comfy and we all slept really well. Loved having the individual room air so that everyone could set their own temps to their comfort. The hosts were fabulous and answered any question I had extremely promptly! So appreciated! The location is 10/10. A quick walk across the street and kids were gone for hours at the skate park. A very short and relaxing walk the other direction and you’re at the lake. The main park is right there too…trees and beautiful. The road in front of the house is quiet with little traffic. Truly was an awesome location, and it suits anyone vacationing or doing the Ironman race. Highly recommend!

We had a worry-free, relaxing week at this house. It was well-stocked and exceeded our expectations in that category. The beds were comfy, and the location was well within walking distance to most everything we wanted to do. Beach chairs, beach towels, and bikes were some of the amenities included.

The location is perfect. We park our car and use bikes for a full week. Right across from a beautiful park with playground, pickle ball, basketball etc. walking distance to Tubbs Hill and dwtn. Right on bike path that can take you anywhere you want to go. We have four kids aged 6-13 and this is their favorite place. House is perfect. Yard beautiful and dog friendly. Many recent updates from our stay last year. We hope to come back next year. Thanks Flo for a beautiful home at a beautiful location which makes for beautiful memories.

Tandem bikes were awesome to take along the bike path and beach. Park was amazing Pickle ball courts across the street we used a ton. You can't go wrong. They have a lot of stuff in the shed for further enjoyment, bikes, Beach toys, coolers, etc. Definitely a great place
