There is a friendly person (Paulina) to greet you and show you around the accomodation and can help with any questions or issues-who lives onsite, beautiful accomodation, large rooms, large comfortable bed, great view from the terrace, provide drinking water & tea & coffee, good hot water in bathroom- but you have to wait many minutes for it to get hot & while waiting you can collect the cold water in a bucket to use on plants in common area, central location but up a hill (like most places in Guanajuato).

Room 2 is beside the road- if you are a light sleeper try not to get it, traffic starts at 6am, room & bathroom are very dark- you need the light on even during the day, no air con- only a fan- it does get stuffy especially with all doors closed and windows covered to darken the room when you sleep, apartment is a little dated/old and some bits seem to be crumbling.

Very charming and unique. Comfortable and clean. Loved watching the hummingbirds on the roof garden.

I liked the architecture, the design, the history, the stories - in the many furnishings, the eccentricities everywhere in the house. Whoever was or is behind it is an artist, someone sensitive to the colors of life. Look closely. It's easy to miss some little gem.

It would have been perfect if breakfast was served. There's only five rooms. It would have been a chance to meet other guests. On the other hand, there's the roof terrace to hang out in common space.

This was my second stay. My first was 20 years ago. It is still has a beautiful garden and terrace. The location is great. The room is tiny but adequate for one person. Someone that watches tv might find the angle difficult but I don’t watch it. Small detail but the water bucket used to recover water is collapsible and lost all the water.

The drinking water ran out at night. The manager was non responsive Unfortunately I left my glasses and necklace. The manager berated me for this. I offered to prepay for DHL shipping which would include pickup and extra for her time but She insisted it had to go by post in an unpadded envelope. As I live in Mexico I could wait 3 weeks for delivery but if I didn’t they would have been lost. What bothered me more is being treated like an irresponsible person for forgetting my glasses. In truth I had looked all around the room for my glasses and thought they were lost so I was grateful to get them back. Nobody ever feels good about forgetting something. I just didn’t feel much like thanking her after being berated. I would only stay again if there was new management.
