This gorgeous waterfront home on the point is nestled on the shores of Lake Wylie in Charlotte, NC. It's one of the rare properties on the lake with its’ own sprawling private sandy beach - ideal for young children, families, or couples to enjoy.
Take in the 270 degrees of lake view from every room of this house. Gather in the Grand room where you can enjoy the spacious and open layout to soak in lakefront panoramic views from every corner. Every window is mounted with roller blinds to offer the privacy you need for a perfect getaway. This home comes stocked with everything you could need including 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boards. You’ll love the brilliant 75" 4K TV mounted above the over-sized marble fireplace.
My mother is an excellent designer. She achieved this look of modern minimalist luxury without sacrificing the comfort and needs of a fully functioning dwelling. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all new stainless-steel appliances including a wine fridge. The washer and dryer make this home perfect for long stays.

This single-story family-style home boasts 2 Bedrooms (1 King & 1 Queen). Just under the windows in the Grand Room is a high-end, Italian Natuzzi leather Queen-sized Sleeper Sofa (very comfortable – we have all slept in it several times). The huge open-concept living room, kitchen dining room, breakfast room, and wet bar is ideal for gathering - more seating than you could ever need making the living space never feel small. All making this a wonderful, one-of-a-kind, romantic, get-away vacation home for a quiet couple’s retreat or a fun activity-seeking family.
Located just 20 mins from uptown Charlotte, this home is convenient to all the surrounding area has to offer (mall, restaurants, grocery, marina are all less than 5 minutes from the house). Even though you are close to retail shops and malls, you'll escape from the busy world when you drive down our 1/2 mile wooded gravel road that only serves a few homes.

The home just NEXT DOOR is a 6 bedroom house that sleeps 16 - it's an enormous, completely renovated house our family calls "Sandy Cove" (VRBO Listing #1029515).
I own the 3rd house with my two brothers. It is 5 houses down, (or a 6 minute canoe ride) - please feel free to check it out, it gets great reviews! It would be a great option if you have a huge group, or reunion to be down the road from each other! (This house is VRBO Listing #565029)
OUTSIDE:
The yard is simply gorgeous with large, beautiful trees separating you from any next-door neighbors. Enjoy lunch outside or just watch the kids play on beach from the huge deck overlooking lake. Or turn on the warm café-style lighting and enjoy a glass of wine on the beach as the sun sets. Enjoy the dock perfect for laying out, tanning, fishing, jumping in the lake, or just relaxing and hanging out on the comfy Pontoon Boat... listen to your music on the wireless Bluetooth stereo while looking out at the cove. Or wind down the day eating dinner on the huge porch overlooking the lake with a cold one in your hand!

This home has the huge open-concept family room with lots of seating, including a leather recliner for dad, and a new 75 inch 4K SmartTV (w/ DVR, Netflix, HBO, Cinemax, all Premium Package Channels) a dining room table that seats 6, wine fridge, and a FULLY stocked kitchen with dishes, glassware, pot and pans, all large and small appliances, a Kuerig 2.0, and a kitchen counter with barstool seating. The home features a huge living room, kitchen, and dining area with windows overlooking the large deck and the lake from all angles.
BEDROOMS:
There are 2 bedrooms (1 King & 1 Queen). Just under the windows in the Grand Room is the high-end, Italian Natuzzi leather Queen-sized Sleeper Sofa (very comfortable – we have all slept in it several times). Each room is equipped with remote-controlled ceiling fan w/ lights, and 55 inch 4K SmartTV’s w/ DVR, AT&T Uverse TV (all Premium Package Channels). We provide Bath Towels for 6 guests. We provide Bed Linens for all beds including the sleeper sofa for the entire house. However, guests must provide their own Beach Towels to use outside or on the boat. Guests are welcome to use washer/dryer if any sheets or towels need to be cleaned (detergent is provided).
AMENITIES:
Explore the lake on our 2 stand-up Paddle Boards and 4 sit-in Kayaks (just don't forget to wear a life jacket!) We provide tons of high-quality neoprene life jackets of all sizes. We want you to use them!! Be safe out there :) There is a huge comfy patio area right outside the family room complete with seating, outside dining, and a large stainless steel propane grill (be sure to check it when you arrive, if gas runs out - renters are responsible for replacing at any of the nearby grocery and gas stations).
AT&T U-verse TV (1000+ HD and 4K Channels including HBO, Cinemax, and all ESPN channels). The house is equipped with High-speed Fiber Wi-Fi internet that works all the way down to the beach. Or get some relaxing outdoor time and teach your kids how to fish with the 2 full fishing rods, and 2 children's rods with the provided tackle box! You can catch Catfish, Bass, Brim, Crappie, Carp, and Bluegill.
WHAT TO BRING:
Paper towels, Toilet paper, Trash bags (tall bags), any beach towels, and PLENTY of sunscreen!
We provide a set of linens and bath towels for every guest in the house. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer if you would like (but no need to wash your sheets and towels before you check out, you're on vacation!

Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside the home. There is a $1000 fee for smoking inside.***

Beautiful place! Perfect location for my husband and my daughter as we looked at college campuses. Beds were clean very soft. The location was absolutely beautiful.

The Cottage was awesome and well stocked with the basic essentials. Great place with perfect location to everything. David was super responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend the cottage to anyone wanting to experience lake life! USA Boat rental.was super easy to deal with and they were great too!

My husband and I decided we wanted to have a change of scenery from our working from home environment. The lake cottage was a perfect place for this. Beautiful space, with everything you’d need for a short or longer term stay. We stayed a week and used the kitchen with all the amenities for cooking each day and night and not once were we in need of anything. The cookware was quality and they had everything from a salad spinner to a crock pot. We also used all of the spaces and found comfort and style in each little area. Though it’s a smaller house, each area offers a little something different which was great even in the colder, rainy weather. I can only imagine the experience if it were warmer weather to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor space. We loved how close it was to the local shopping area for groceries and grabbing other items needed but left at home. Even though it’s only a 10 minute drive to these conveniences, you still feel you are away from everything in the surroundings of the cottage. Just a couple of things to mention that may help others when looking to reserve the place: -though it listed a traditional coffee maker I could only find a Keurig, but lucky there were a few cups left over until we could get to the store to buy more-the internet went out one night for a couple of hours and we were given a different network to use that got us up and running again. This caused us a lot of panic since we were both working from the cottage throughout the entire week. Carol was quick to solve the issue. Also the wifi network originally given was not password protected. This made us a little leery considering we were using the network for our work. -We did bring our 1year old French bulldog and paid for the additional cost to have her plus added the protection insurance. We understand the importance of ones property and respect that bringing pets is another liability, but felt a little paranoid during the time we spent there based on the initial conversations upon reserving and the check in instructions about having a pet in the property. I would just expect with as much concern that was shared by the owners/property manager, they might reconsider allowing pets at all. As a responsible pet owner, paying additional costs for having a pet, I would have liked to feel more at ease while staying.Over all, gorgeous place to spend a week and would definitely consider going back when the weather is warmer!
