FOUR SEASON cabin situated on 5 acres of Federal Forest with DIRECT ACCESS TO SNOWMOBILE TRAIL on White Iron Lake. Rolling terrain with 400 feet of lakeshore. Located on southern tip of White Iron with western picture perfect sunset views. The location has almost zero boat traffic. Tranquil setting for a summer retreat, cozy getaway in winter, base camp for dog sledding or snowmobiling. AND ONLY 7 MILES FROM DOWNTOWN ELY.

*Cabin has two 55" smart tv's with DirectTv and WiFi
*Bedrooms/sleeping loft have window blinds
*Main floor has king bed with full bathroom across hall
*Upstairs has king bed with full bathroom down hall

60 ft dock/west view in wind protected cove for your boat. Walk out, grab a chair, and enjoy a tranquil view and/or toss out a line for cruising pike. Short paddle north passing only 3 piers before entering a string of islands, great fishing at the mouth of the Kawishiwi River.
White Iron is known for its high numbers of walleye, pike, and crappie due to the inflow of water from the Kawishiwi. Bring back some keepers, cook on charcoal grill or on the fire pit.

It was a good place to stay, beautiful view of the lake, plenty of room, nice kitchen. This was the first time, though, that I can recall we were asked to strip the beds and put the sheets in a laundry basket and start a load of laundry. The biggest drawback, and we don’t fault the host for this, is that the place had no air conditioning. We’re familiar with Northern Minnesota, and it’s generally cooler than the upper 80s and low 90s that we experienced this past weekend. There were some fans in the house and we brought several of our own, and it was still nearly unbearably hot, which took away from our enjoyment of the place. Given what’s happening with the world climate, you may want to consider adding air conditioning. Another challenge was getting down to the lake. We had no idea the cabin was so far above the lake level. Three people in our group of six did not even attempt going down. A new stairway is sorely needed. Aside from all that, the place was good and we had a good time. Thanks.

This place was a dream! It’s very private - we could’ve spent the whole time out on that lake, but it’s also so close to multiple waterfalls and amazing hikes! The house itself was so beautiful - very clean, every utensil you’d need, and we even played some rounds of ping pong downstairs. Host was great and had good communication throughout the stay. Simple check in/out. We went right after the 4th of July, and it was perfect weather. It got a little warm during the day, but it was perfect with the windows open and stayed nice & cool at night making for the best sleeps ever! We usually try to always stay somewhere new, but we both agreed that we definitely want to come back to this one!

The cabin was everything and more! The pictures and descriptions were accurate and so helpful for us to plan our trip. This was our first trip to Ely and it did not disappoint! We took our boat and fished every day. We used the boat ramps just a few miles away and had fun navigating the waters and catching fish. The binder in the living room was helpful for restaurants, shops, and things to do. I’m glad the host sent out information before the trip because we didn’t have to wonder where we could park the boat trailer while the boat stayed docked. The cabin was cleaned, well stocked, and made you feel welcome and at home. We are definitely going to plan another trip to Ely and try to stay in this cabin again. We truly loved it! I would absolutely recommend this home again and again.
