What a fun place to stay for our 3 boys! We were in the area for a baseball tournament and instead of doing the hotel thing, we stayed at this delightful, waterfront cabin which had everything we needed, plus accommodating, friendly, helpful, communicative hosts!! We had access to the water, brought fishing poles, and had a ball. The pond is stocked, the tiki bar is adorable, and the fish are biting! In addition, if you are a bird-watcher, there were 14 different varieties of birds detected on my Merlin app! The only downside had nothing to do with the property, but the Colonial Parkway was completed closed for construction, which made our commute over to Williamsburg twice as long. Book with confidence, this is a slam dunk!

The only complaints I have is that their neighbors are building a huge house and were there the whole time, working on and off, even on the weekend. Also, there were ants in the kitchen so some of our snacks were ruined and we had to keep everything in the microwave. Outside of that, the cottage is perfect and comfortable and the tiki bar area is serene… I loved the screened in areas to sit!!! I still got lots of bug bites though lol recommend bringing extra bug spray. The dock was cute but the boat was in the way, for me. There’s lots of chairs to sit near the rivers edge though. I would love to go back! Plus Yorktown was super close by and oh so lovely and quaint to walk around! We enjoyed our long weekend here very much!

Well we didn't appreciate the new neighbor walking his dogs in between the house we stayed in and the outside area which we were supposed to be able to use like it was his property. Our dogs couldn't even enjoy being outside on a leash. We didn't feel comfortable there this time at. The satilite system needs work.
