Affascinante Villa Ottocentesca a Caltagirone

This is a truly special place with a soul. The villa is a historic family home filled with personal photographs, antique handmade furniture, and artistic details including a stunning frescoed ceiling in the living room. It felt like staying in a museum full of stories. The communication with the hosts was excellent, Carla was always available and very helpful, and we were warmly welcomed by her relatives, who were open, friendly, and interesting people. The house is spacious, with large rooms and a vast outdoor area. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, which is perfect for a large group. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen (although we mostly ate out), the powerful shower, the washing machine, and air conditioning in all rooms. The large enclosed property had automatic gates and ample space for several cars — very convenient. We loved relaxing in the hammocks and the small garden, and having the option to find quiet corners even within a big group. The villa is located in the center of Sicily — it takes 1.5–2 hours to reach the coast, but supermarkets and the town are just a few minutes away.

When we arrived, there was an issue with the central air conditioning, but it was promptly fixed the next day by a technician. We invited a private chef, but unfortunately, he was an amateur and the dinner didn’t meet expectations. The house is full of antique charm, which for some may feel a bit too rustic — but for us, that was part of its character.

Gorgeous, well-preserved villa with a large, beautiful garden. Very comfortable, with a large, well-equipped kitchen.

Todo fue estupendamente, así que no hay nada malo que comentar.

The warm welcome from the owners, who had travelled from Catania to greet us, the magnificently grand villa and sitting out on the terrace basking in the Scicilian sun, all made for a wonderful stay. Communication with Carla was easy and very prompt. We enjoyed lunch in a local restaurant and purchased goods in the nearby supermarket. Situated on the edge of the city, it's easy to access all of Caltagirone's attractions, if you can drag yourself away from the villa, which we couldn't!
