Quaint private cottage on Great Pond

Loon Landing was the perfect private getaway for our family. We were able to enjoy a couple of evenings of fishing in the pond, and enjoyed the sounds of the loons echoing across the pond at night. The location is a little bit off the beaten path, however, it was within a reasonable driving distance from everything that we had planned. The only concern that we had with our stay was how steep the staircase was to the loft area. The adults slept upstairs while the kids stayed downstairs to prevent any accidents going up and down the steps. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Loon Landing was exactly what we needed. Very private, comfy, and the view of the pond was great! Easy walk down to the pond, and my dog loved going down there to paddle in the water. Short drive to Acadia, or anywhere really, for the ocean. Thank you so much for hosting us for the week!!

This property was very secluded which made our stay peaceful. It was nice and clean wit comfortable beds,

The cottage is secluded on a beautiful lake, and we did hear loons! It was a great location for our hiking trips to nearby public lands as well as Acadia and Cutler. It’s well equipped, and the heater is great for chilly mornings. We wanted a getaway as our base and happy with our choice. The hosts let us in a bit early and were very responsive with questions. Ellsworth isn’t far if you want to shop.
