This newer design, custom built home in Palmetto Dunes has been completely renovated and is only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The home is meticulously maintained and has a layout and size that provides a great gathering place for large families and friends.
The setting: Located in a quiet yet convenient area of Palmetto Dunes, this home has a short 10 min, beautiful, walk to the beach. It also has a similar length walk to the new Kroger grocery store in the opposite direction. Hop on a bike and cut the travel time down to a few minutes! The front of the home looks out to a beautifully landscaped front yard with a perfect, stately live oak surrounded by graceful azaleas. Additionally, across the street is a small undeveloped area providing more tranquil views of this peaceful setting. Functionally, a circular driveway serving a two car garage provides ample parking. The back area of the home is south facing and open providing tons of sun, (a rarity in Hilton Head), It also features perfect open views of the pool, professional landscaping, and a 15-acre spring fed lake that provides fishing and abundant wildlife watching, especially all the incredible birds! The back yard setting alone will make you want to come back!
The pool: The pool is a modern design and is much larger than the average pool found in the area. It features an 8 foot deep end and an 8 inch deep sun shelf or kiddie area. It is graced on the back side by a 4ft wide shear flow fountain. Other highlights include a soft water/salt chlorination system,(no chlorine smell, red eyes, or irritation), colored LED lights for night time fun, and a large tile dolphin in 3D! Additionally, FREE heating,(when temp is above 50-55F), is provided, as needed, by a heat pump. Complimenting the pool is a large lawn area, a large paver pool deck with plenty of pool furniture, and an upgraded/renovated 12x30ft deck with built in seating, table and chairs for 8 with an umbrella, a separate retractable umbrella, and a gas grill.
Living areas: An abundance of large living areas provides ample space for multiple activities. Entering inside, you’ll find a bright open floor plan starting with a large tiled entry with 14ft ceilings. Flanking the entry is a large formal living room providing a great place to visit or escape the activities of the great room. An adjacent formal dining room provides seating for 10.
The huge, fun, great room is perfect for watching sports or movies and features 14ft high ceilings, a large built-in entertainment center with a 65 inch smart TV, and a triple french door opening to the deck.
Overlooking the great room is an expanded gourmet kitchen featuring stainless appliances including a large double wall oven, and a five burner cooktop, as well as new cabinets and granite. The sizeable adjacent breakfast room seats 10 and is a great place to view the lake and watch the egrets, osprey, and herons in the morning.
Sleeping: Three separate bedroom areas make this layout ideal for multiple groups and privacy. There is a master/family suite that features double doors opening to a sitting area. Off this room is the master bedroom, the master bath, and a small bedroom with two twin beds. The master BR is beautifully furnished, has a 50in TV and a triple french door opening to the deck to enjoy the views. On the opposite side of the house are two more bedrooms. The first has a queen bed and full bath and the other bedroom has two sets of bunks beds, (switching to a queen and one bunk bed set in 2024), and a full bath. The second master bedroom is on the front side of the home and is the only room on an elevated level providing quiet privacy. It has tropical Tommy Bahama furniture, (king bed), huge windows with great views out the front and a full bath with a beautiful tile shower. Lastly, a new queen sleep sofa is provided in the living room.
The beach: There are several ways to enjoy the beach. You can walk or ride a bike to one of the regularly spaced beach access paths. We have provided approximately twelve adult bikes and two children's bikes at our home for your complimentary use*. You can also drive to the the complimentary Palmetto Dunes Beach Club which provides parking, bathrooms, outside showers and snack shop/restaurant. It is located near the south gate and is free for guests. Additionally, there is a complimentary Palmetto Dunes shuttle bus that will take you to the beach and back! All you have to do is give them a call to arrange a ride.

The house was amazing it had everything. Lots of bikes, pool toys, beach items. The kitchen was really big with anything you might need for cooking. There were 9 of us and we never felt cramped. It is a quick walk or bike ride to the beach!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely house very much! We were in the beautiful pool everyday. The restaurants we went to were awesome. We walked to the beach one day. Our kids rode bikes around the neighborhood. Wade, the owner, was very easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. All 13 of us had a wonderful vacation.

Check in was good, kitchen was good. We had no internet the entire stay so the owner refunded the money I had to pay, (100 of 105.00) for parking passes. All the rest of the family who stayed in Palmetto Dunes had parking passes that came with their units. In fact we got free parking passes with our units every year prior to this year. It was not a big deal, just kind of petty and should have been noted in the contract. That is actually an increase in cost.Also, the owner could have done a better job of getting the internet repaired, I had to call and text several times and the problem was never resolved. When Spectrum finally came Thursday day 6 of our stay, he determined the router was bad, the owner’s responsibility to replace.
