About this villa rental
Nomikos mansion is an old residence with a history dated back to 1930, completely renovated into a private comfortable and cozy villa with respect for our local tradition and our Cycladic architecture. It is ideally nested in peaceful traditional village of Karterados, in a quite spot and in a close proximity to the main square, the local bus stop, to Fira (the capital), the airport and the beaches Monolithos and the renowned Kamari (the Black Sand).
Nomikos mansion, belonged to Eleytheria and Maria, who inhabited and grew up until the strong earthquake in 1956 when their residence fell down into ruins. They reconstructed their house and lived until late 90s.
Last year, the grandchildren of Eleytheria and Maria, decided to restore the house. The interior is the original that Eleytheria and Maria have had decorated after the 1st restoration in 1960, with vintage floor tiles and vintage furnishing. The mansion has 2 bedrooms with 2 comfortable queen size beds, large sitting areas with high ceilings and 2 ample separate bathrooms. The 2 rooms can accommodate up to 5 people.
The villa opens to an ample veranda with 2 Heated Plunge pools with Spa facilities, sun loungers, and dinning tables. From the veranda guests can enjoy the amazing sunrise view in the morning and the deep blue of the Aegean Sea. Our villa is ideal for those who wish to relax enjoying all the modern amenities, in a combined stylish and original environment, during their holidays in Santorini.

The property was new, very clean and well stocked. Cleaning service daily. Property manager was exceptionally helpful and very nice. We liked that it was near to everything but out of the heavy tourist area.

Effortless pick up arranged from Blue Star Ferry port, and to airport for my sons, and later for my husband and I. Greg, our host, was so friendly and helpful! We loved the property and paid for the whole house, having a private deck and hot tubs for our family of 4. Spectacular stay all around! Stocked refrigerator, champagne, and daily maid service! Fabulous , large bathroom, too! Also, loved the small, quaint eateries and stores in Karterados. A chocolate filled pastry from Bakery Baros is a must! Short 15 min. walk to Fira and close busstop around the corner from the property to get to other areas. I highly recommend staying at Nomikos Mansion!
