The location is great- close and convenient to everything in the Detroit area and Royal Oak has great shops and restaurants. Great free parking was a plus. You’re on your own at this place, though. Garbage disposal did not work, TVs didn't work (we were hoping to watch the football game). I reached out to the owner- never heard back. Be sure to lock the door from the inside - the code to get in is the same for his other units, which makes for awkward interactions. No dish soap for dishes (we used the hand soap that was provided) and no ironing board (there is an iron).

DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!!!!! I couldn’t go anywhere or do anything on my vacation because you couldn’t get back in the pin to the door worked 1 time and didn’t work again and never could get in touch with owner called me a week later wanting me to leave him a review well bud here is your review NEVER EVER EVER RENT THIS PLACE. Power line almost touching the ground in the back of the building if you was to walk around there at night you would be killed if came in contact with this line then when asked for some sort of compensation to make up for it he says I’m threatening him by saying I was going to leave a bad review unless compensated for ruining my whole weekend

Its a dump vrbo has “0”accountability and neither does this property owner. We could not stay here the unit was unlock able the building was unlock able it was filthy we had to get a motel and fight with our credit card company to get our money back VRBO ignored our request for a refund I would not use VRBO it was the last place in Bethlehem.

Took over 2.5 hours to get door code after arriving, via calls and messages. Cheapest, uncomfortable furniture available. Beds weren’t too bad. There were no hand towels at all. Directly adjacent to train tracks that run at all hours but otherwise nice location for walkable businesses. Place was generally pretty clean at least for being a little older. Review would’ve been a bit better with a better property contact that wasn’t at work and unable to communicate.

While the area was plentiful with activities, the apartment, unfortunately, was lackluster. The photos must show an outdated version of what is now the unit. It almost looked “looted” of what was shown on the listing. The wall decor is gone and the lamps in the rooms are gone for example. Before even walking into the unit, we were never sent direct check in info. This lead to numerous calls to try and figure out access codes unit location. After entering the unit, we noticed messes on the counters from the guests before us that were not properly cleaned (made us feel like the rest of the unit was also looked over). Overall, we were a bit mislead but didn’t let it ruin our weekend!

Great Location
The apartment complex was a little outdated but the apartment itself was well maintained and furnished. Overall, this was a great place to rent for our night out as the location was within walking distance of downtown RO. I would definitely rent again.
