About this house rental
Surround yourself with nature in this majestic log home. Four suites make it an excellent choice for couples as well as family gatherings.
On the entry level, hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings and large windows adorn the great room, and the stone fireplace and stylish furnishings accent the warmth of these rooms. An open layout makes it easy to enjoy the company of family and friends when you are making a home cooked meal in the well-equipped kitchen. The island seats three adding to the seating for twelve in the dining area. The long wooden table is sure to be the site of lots of good conversations by the fire. With the deck just off of the great room, your living space is instantly expanded. Grill out on summer evenings or sip your coffee on crisp fall mornings. No matter what the time of year, the sounds of Mother Nature will be all around you.
The main level primary suite is truly inviting with well-chosen decor that evokes a mountain feel. Catch up on your rest in the king bed or watch a little TV before getting some shut eye. This is a great spot to refresh before another day of fun at Deep Creek Lake.
Upstairs, you will find two more suites. Each offers a queen bed, TV, and DVD player. Whether you need a cat nap or just a little quiet time, you will appreciate the privacy on this level.
The lower level family room was designed with quality time in mind. Enjoy the ambiance of the cozy gas fireplace as you watch your favorite movie, play cards at the game table, or challenge a friend to air hockey. Spacious, warm, comfortable. Great for a large family. Kitchen fully stocked, two ovens, two dishwashers. Beautiful location and private outdoor setting.

I've stayed at many different large home rentals, both beach houses and mountain cabins. This house is absolutely pristine, inside and out! The attention to detail and design of the house is not of the caliber I've found in rental homes- regardless of price point. Everyone in our group had a great time, and loved the house and the well designed outside features. I would very highly recommend this cabin.

ODE TO CLARALEA 1. In a glorious setting, among cedars and oaks The wooded paradise, ClaraLea, welcomes all folks. To this wood-paneled palace, built with perfection and care, Came ten happy travelers to spend a week there. 2. The house was set by a cove on a lake. Cedars and oaks shaded pathways did make. Mountain laurel and rhododendron sipped at the shore. Eastern yellow swallowtails and dragonflies flew outside the door. 3. Chipmunks and squirrels sought their daily bread. Robins and cardinals sang below. Geese honked overhead, Mr. and Mrs. Mallard Green-Head swam by for a crust. And our little grand daughter knew that feed them she must. 4. The water was bracing, and a buoy did call for swimmers to round it, one and all. One swam 4 laps and 3 swam just two. Followed by a guard in a kayak who knew what to do. 5. And the deck served for reading and grilling and such. And eating by sunset of food there was much. Pancakes were cooked on a griddle so fine, and many toasts were made with raised glasses of wine. 6. The dock was a place for getting some sun. And spreading much sunscreen on every one. As the the sun set in the west, all happily agreed That no other vacation ever did this one exceed.
