This house was great for a family; we especially loved the hot tub. I have to say that the mattresses were terribly uncomfortable. We didn't get much sleep and our bodies hurt from the firmness of the mattresses. The description said memory foam mattresses so I thought they would be comfortable but they were very firm. The pillows were terrible also; bring your own.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Inside very clean. We were a little disappointed in the neighborhood simply because there is not a lot of privacy. Neighbors right next door. Not much privacy in the hot tub or the fire pit area. Other than that we loved the location for the easy travel to wherever we went! Would recommend to others!

We arrived and the home was very welcoming. Very clean and cozy. We were far enough away from places to have to drive but close enough that it wasn’t a trek. The home is in a great location the Biltmore, Tree Tops, Chimney Rock, gas stations, coffee places, and grocery stores. Absolutely loved it and if we ever go back to Asheville again it is where we will stay!!

The owner is very accommodating and prompt at responding to messages. The property is just as described and well kept. Our kids enjoyed the miscellaneous toys and board games. Hot tub was relaxing with the view of the mountains. Close to Ashville but still felt like you were in a private area. Close to some great hikes as well. Would highly recommend, especially with kids

Had a lovely stay at the Kanupp house. We were visiting friends in the area and this was a perfect base for us (family of 4). We loved the quiet area but access to Asheville and surrounding activities was excellent. Would absolutely recommend and would love to return.

Nice Easter break stay!

We had a great time in Asheville despite the torrential rains! We managed to time breaks in the rain in order to enjoy the Biltmore gardens and hiking. Murphy's home is convenient to Asheville, the Biltmore, and a great hike at Wildcat Rock (20 min). Very comfortable beds (king, queen, and 2 twins which were perfect for my husband and me, and 3 teens), wonderful hot tub! We cooked dinner in every night, and made do with the provided salt, pepper, sugar, garlic powder, and cooking spray. Bring everything else including baggies/wraps, charcoal if you will need them. Food Lion and Ingles are about 12 minutes away. As others have noted, the house is immediately next door to another one, so it is not a secluded spot - just be prepared for that. Overall a very clean, nice experience for spending time with family and enjoying Asheville. If you are looking for somewhere to sit outside and convene with nature, you might want to consider a spot not so close to the neighbors.

Very clean and cozy. Plenty of room for two couples. Very responsive hosts. We had a small issue getting the hot tub to run and within twenty minutes Murphy was at the door and fixed the problem in 5 minutes! Really appreciate the care they’ve put into the house.

The home is beautiful, very clean & practically brand new. Plenty of towels and all the kitchen items you need. There is a home right next door but we never heard or saw the neighbors. (We even had a speaker with music playing on the back porch from time to time.) Hot tub was great and has a privacy wall up. Owner was very quick to respond to any inquiries we had. Is very close to both Black Mountain and Asheville. We used Lyft one night to from Black Mtn. It rained almost every day we were there so we didn't get to use the fire pit but it looked like it would have been a fun area to hang out at night. Would definitely rent again!!!! Thanks so much for your hospitality!!!

The house itself was lovely! Very clean and felt like home. The hot tub was also very nice to have. The location was easy enough to visit Biltmore and downtown Asheville (about 20-25 minutes) but it is worth mentioning that the roads to the house are more winding than we anticipated. Unfortunately this place also doesn't have any delivery options for food (on our lazy days!). The only suggestion I would have is to have basic toiletries available (shampoo, conditioner, soap), as this is pretty common in most properties and would have been very convenient. Overall a great stay, I would recommend!

We came to the area for the weekend on a girls trip. The place was very nice inside with plenty of towels, comfortable beds, and a nice big hot tub. The neighbors are pretty close but we did not see anyone while we were there, and there is a privacy lattice up by the hot tub. It is convenient to Asheville. The only warning I will give is that the twin beds seemed a bit short for the adults sleeping in them. If you are going to stay you might want to plan to have kids or short adults sleeping in those beds. Overall a great house!

We were 6 family members in town for a wedding and the location was central to our locations of interest! We had a wonderful day touring the Biltmore House with only a 15 min drive. We also walked around Chimney Rock with another short drive in different direction. Wedding was in Lake Lure and location of this house made it very convenient to get there. Kitchen is well stocked and cleanliness of the house was excellent. Owners were friendly and helpful with any questions we had! Hot tub and fire pit were an added plus!!! We definitely will be staying here in future trips to visit the area.

The house was comfortable, hot tub hot, beds comfortable, nice view. What we didn't like was the very high price of the cleaning fee. We were also asked to launder the towels??? All the extra fees added up to more than the price of a day's rental. I wouldn't recommend this house based on price.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The Kanupp home is an excellent choice for vacationing in the mountains for numerous reasons! The home itself is lovely, cozy and immaculate. The amenities were fabulous! We enjoyed the hot tub. Pictures truly do not do justice to what you will experience. We found it to be conveniently located to the areas attractions of Chimney Rock and the Biltmore Estate. It became our home away from home and we plan to return for hopefully a longer stay!!
