Beautiful all-year home made for summer fun. About 2-1/2 hours from Chicago and 2 hours 40 minutes from Detroit, this 3 bedroom, two bathroom sits on a private lake 20 minutes west of Kalamazoo and 20 minutes east of South Haven. In the heart of Michigan's wine country you can relax and enjoy all the summer fun Michigan has to offer. The Lake Mill private community offers access to a variety of different amenities. Just outside your doors includes access to tennis courts, softball fields, volleyball, and horseshoes. On the beach you can enjoy a community clubhouse and sandbox and playground for children. The lake is one of the cleanest in the area with a sand base swimming area shared by this private community.
The house itself offers gorgeous views through 4 large windows overlooking the lake and all it's activities. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, television and master bath. The other two bedrooms are across from the 2nd bathroom and offer a queen-size bed and a trundle/pull-out bed for the kids. Beautiful gas log fireplace to enjoy your romantic evenings. Four-burner gas grill is available outdoors to enjoy the summer nights and watching the kids catch fireflies. Close to wineries, antique shops, and the KalHaven Bike trail, you will never want to leave this Michigan getaway.

The house was as described and pictured - the home was spacious and had lots of cookware to use. The home was clean, but dusty, and the beds were comfortable. The shared community lake access, playground, and tables are across the cul de sac, very close! Outside yard/furnishings could been a little more.
The reason for 4 stars was the smell of the home was overwhelmingly musty, like mold/mildew, and the oven was from the 1960s and basically unusable. All other appliances were great and when we opened the windows, it helped the smell a bit, but it never went away. Overall a pretty good stay! We loved the lake.

Excellent as always. Everything a house needs was provided. We did a lot of cooking and all the pots, pans, storage containers, dishes, etc. were so appreciated. Super clean and comfortable. We were too intimidated to use the very old oven but all other appliances were very new, clean, and in working order. The lake and beach were very relaxing and enjoyable. It's a great little slice of heaven.

Let me start with the inconvenience with the dish washer which was broken and the owner notified us an hour before the trip. It was a huge inconvenience since we had kids in our group and we were planning to cook for them. No credit was provided either for this inconvenience.House is small but we are a close knit group of friends so it worked out. The house was clean and had enough supplies to make your stay comfortable.Location is awesome. The house is less than 30 steps away from a private beach. We tried wine tasting, golf course, local ice cream shops, apple picking etc and it was a lot of fun.
