About this house rental
I am usually not interested in 2 night rentals during the high season (May-September) and holidays, but you are welcome to make an inquiry (sometimes I make exceptions based on scheduling and market conditions). It is at my discretion to determine number of days, so please check with me before you make solid plans with your group and put in a reservation.
Builder owned New timberframe/Post Beam Home located 2.5 miles down a wooded private road. Arguable the best White Mountain and Mount Washington view set on 1800 acre Mountain fed Kezar Pond.
Daily bald eagle, loon, wildlife sightings. Fantastic fishing from 300 feet of shoreline or from 3 kayaks (provided)(one double kayak) This is a pond that is the size of a large lake. Absolutely breathtaking and private, you'll think you died and went to heaven.
The Space:
I am a builder/real estate developer/Fine home renter in Newport, RI. when I first looked at land on Kezar Pond I thoughtit was the most beautiful place I have ever been to on earth (and I still do).
In 2010 I built this home with quality materials and furnishings. Quartersawn oak flooring, custom stone fireplace. Seating for 12 (10 guests allowed)in the kitchen dining room, living room with panaromic views from ever room in the house. Large deck with grill, completely outfitted kitchen, screened in porch and short path to firepit and beach.
House has 3 spacious bedrooms, a bunkroom with 6 beds, and a finished basement with pool table, shuffleboard table, additional bed and pull out couch. The bunkroom and basement utilize the 1st floor 1/2 bath and the outdoor shower. Masterbed and bath ensuite, and the 2 upstairs bedroom share a Jack and Jill style bath. Bunkroom and basement can conveniently use the upstairs bath.
There is no dock so beach and water entry is perfect for Kayaks, canoes, and swimming, but no LARGE powerboats. You will catch big fish if you know how to fish and you will see bald eagle (usually everyday) in the 100 foot pines on the property.
Please don't come stay at my home if you plan on disturbing any of the wildlife or beautiful nature you will see. You will find the home and setting fullfilling beyond your expectations.

Chris was really nice and communicative. Kitchen was wonderfully filled with all the things we needed to cook for multiple people. Game room and kayaks were awesome for kids. We brought fishing poles which really kept kids happy. The bunk room is unreal. Photos don’t do it justice. The bugs…not good but likely due to the time of year we were there and of course outside of owners control. Overall super interesting place and great for a multi generational family get together .

Went for a long weekend getaway with the family. It was not two far a drive for us all coming from different areas and was on the water in a nice spot. Spectacular views and a large enough place for us all to spread out and dog friendly.. We had some rain wind and cooler weather but an enjoyable time. Glad we did it!

This is indeed a beautiful setting with daily eagle sightings - quiet and peaceful. The construction of the home is a beauty in itself. That said the place needs a thorough deep cleaning from top to bottom. I spent the first day cleaning just to make it ok. There is rustic and then there is a lack of attention that shows. The unreliability of hot water is unacceptable for a place in this price range. Restarting the hot water heater several times a day should not be part of what I need to do to make things work. The listing of 3 bathrooms is misleading. It’s 2.5 which makes a difference with a group of 8-10. The claim that the bunk room and basement bedrooms can conveniently use the upstairs bathroom is a stretch. The bunk room has 1 flight of stairs to climb and the basement bedroom 2 flights of stairs. And then factor in that at least 4 people from upstairs bedrooms are already using this bathroom, it can get crowded. Also be aware that the 5th bedroom is in the downstairs playroom which when we arrived smelled so musty it was unusable. The bed is in one end of the room with a leaf blower on the nightstand and a poster of osama bin Laden used for target practice staring at you. Again in this price range I find this situation not ok. Be advised there are many stairs to go in and out. Not a problem for everyone but def a problem for some. There did not seem to be a way to lock the door onto the screened porch. Not a big concern for us
