Spacious, beautiful, and entertaining lakehouse, ideal for a large family but also warm for a couple. Situated on a road-accessible island in the gorgeous Upper Greenwood Lake, this lakehouse offers a private retreat to enjoy nature, stunning views, and quality time with family and friends. This Lakehouse has several entertaining areas including a large and fully equipped kitchen, a game table in the living room, a long balcony overlooking the lake with table and chairs, a Jacuzzi in the master bedroom, living and family rooms on different floors, each one with its own modern electric fireplace, smart TV, and couch for two simultaneous entertainment environments.
OUTDOOR entertainment areas in the property include a large BBQ patio overlooking the lake with a charcoal grill and a large table with chairs, a sunbathing deck next to the lake with a 5-person HOT TUB for whole-body massages, and a large FIRE PIT near the water. Firewood is available.
This house sits on a mountain at the heart of North Jersey Highlands and is surrounded by its many unique natural attractions including several famous hiking trails like the Appalachian Trail and several public lakes where guests can enjoy a variety of sports. Wawayanda State Park is only 10 min from the house and is a high-rated destination for beach swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Our neighboring "Greenwood Lake" offers power boat and jet-ski rentals.
Guests are NOT allowed to use the LAKE IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE, as per the Lake Association rules. Several nearby public lakes offer swimming and boating opportunities.
Other attractions in the area include hiking trails, apple-picking farms, ski resorts, Mountain Creek Waterpark, and Warwick's fine restaurants. The JW World Headquarters is a 20-min drive from the house.

The house was very clean and orderly. Kitchen had plenty of utensils and such for preparing meals. The dining area was large and accommodating with a beautiful lakeside view

We had such a fantastic few days back in the community of our childhood summers. The house is set high above the lake with clear Mountain views. We cooked in the kitchen and at the end of the day retreated to the second floor living room. Each floor has beautiful electric fireplaces, adding to the overall cozy vibe of the stay There’s a lot of stairs and levels so keep that in mind. We got our steps in both inside and out! Beautiful place to walk the friendly neighborhood streets and breathe in fresh air.

The location and the water views are great, and the firepit is the best feature. However, the house was not clean, the bathrooms had hair and dust and the floors were very sticky.
One day, the temperature reached 91 so the third floor got really hot. We contacted Jose regarding the AC, he replied an hour later recommending us to open the windows since the AC wasn't ready as it wasn't summer yet. So make sure you inquiry about the AC before you go. We couldn't sleep on those rooms that night (the thermostat showed 94).
The hot tub is a nice feature but in our case, the water never got hot (it was more like lukewarm temperature). We talked to Jose about it, and he said he had set it up to a certain temperature that in his opinion was hot enough. I think the guests should be able to set the tub
to the temperature they want.
I have rented other VRBO properties and i had never had the owner or host of the house knock on the door at 11:00 am to check things out. So make sure you are ready to leave on time! But I guess that's a way to confirm the guests check out on time. I took the opportunity to talk to Jose, and he was polite and attentive to all of our complaints. He even offer a discount for future bookings for all the issues we encountered but we I don't think we will be taking his offer.
