About this house rental
This lovely 1500+ sq. ft. Lake Home is near Garrison MN on Round Lake (in the Brainerd Lakes Area), just a short 1-1/2 hour trip from the Twin Cities. Minutes from a boat landing on Mille Lacs Lake.
This is the place to bring your family and friends for a relaxing time. This 1500+ sq ft house with three private bedrooms; it has 2 full bathrooms (one being off the master bedroom). You have all the comfort of home. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, dishes and small appliances. There is a full size refrigerator with large top freezer, stove, oven, and of course a microwave oven for late night popcorn, while watching your favorite DVD/VHS movie on the TV or your other favorite TV programs. Bed linens and bath towels are provided. Be sure to pack your favorite beach towel!
This Lake Home Retreat is your dream vacation on a great quiet lake with sandy beach and beautiful clear water. The lake is great for all activities - fishing, boating, swimming, skiing, canoeing, tubing, or just relaxing. It has great swimming for children with a shallow sandy beach with gradual depth. Provided for your enjoyment: canoe, bocce ball, ladder ball, croquet, board games, cards as well as a DVD/VCR for rainy days plus Dish Network to enjoy your favorite sports or shows! Relax by the lakeside fire pit and watch the beautiful sunsets over the lake. Maybe enjoy golf at one of the many courses nearby (Rutgers Bay Lake, Cuyuna Country Club, Mille Lacs Lake Golf to name a few of the courses), or how about an evening at the Casino just 7 miles away, or shopping, great eating and recreation in the Brainerd Lakes Area. For the kids, or kid in you; how about Paul Bunyan Amusement park just 10 minutes away or mini golf in nearby Deerwood. Maybe curling up with your latest favorite book, or playing board games or cards is your style. Enjoy your favorite grilled food on the large deck with the Weber grill, but remember your charcoal and lighter fluid!
If fishing is your pleasure - you will enjoy trying to catch maybe a resident northern, walleye, bass, or pan fish or just some great sun! Round Lake is about 1000 acres and up to 128 ft deep in the middle. Remember to pack your favorite lures and poles, and don’t forget your life jackets!

This was our fourth trip staying at this house. We always have a fantastic stay. Great house with beautiful sunsets every night. Good fishing, clean water. Most importantly, the hosts are always responsive and make sure everything is perfect for our visit. We truly feel at home here and can’t wait to come back again!

All the positive remarks from previous reviews are true, including Karen & Doug's attentiveness to guests, great communication about weather fronts in the area, etc. It is so spacious, including two full bathrooms. Loved the decks! The waterfront with a truly sandy beach was a highlight for our three grandchildren, ages 10-14. We liked it so much we reserved the same week next year.

We had very relaxing week. The cabin is very well stocked with everything you need. It is very clean. The lake is clear, and it has a really nice beach area by the dock. Sunsets are right over the lake, and they are beautiful. The owners of the cabin, Karen and Doug are very welcoming.
