Good size apartment on 2 levels, very clean, 2 spacious bathrooms, but small kitchen and table.

Spacious, long, very clean 2 bedroom apartment across two floors. You walk into a sitting area, then open plan bedroom with large double bed, followed by very small kitchen and one stair up to spacious bathroom with walk in shower. Down a flight of stairs, which could be closed off from the upper floor was another bedroom with a double bed and two single beds one under the stairs and a sperate large bathroom with walk in shower and two basins. Extra blankets we're provided, but not enough pillows Full fridge and freezer. Plenty of glasses and plates.

The kitchen was very small and not suitable for the amount of beds. The table was also very small. There was a lot of walking from the lounge to the kitchen and bathroom due to the bed being in the middle of the ground floor plan. The basement bedroom had no natural light and poor WiFi. Their was no washing powder for the washing machine. Also there was no heating on upon arrival but we were able to turn this on. Uncomfortable firm beds and pillows. Preference would be to have a mix of pillows hard and soft as no extra pillows.

We stayed one night at Oikion Home Stay in Meteora and it was a comfortable, hassle-free base in a super convenient location. The apartment is right on the main street, yet feels spacious and easy to settle into. We were a family of four and the four beds were genuinely comfortable, which made a big difference after a long day of sightseeing. The apartment feels modern and well-kept, and the very large bathroom was a pleasant surprise—plenty of space for everyone to get ready without feeling rushed. A major plus was the private parking across the street, which made arrival and departure simple, especially with luggage and tight timings. Overall, a clean, modern, roomy apartment in a great location—ideal if you want a smooth, practical stay while exploring Meteora.

Must be fixed to be used as rental

There is an arrangement with a private car parking lot across from the street (instructions on how to find it could be better though). The apartment itself is potentially very nice as you can see from the pictures.

What one cannot see from the pictures is that one bedroom is situated in the basement, the only entrance through the other bedroom, And the lower bathroom was dysfunctional - it was leaking and stank awfully. Also since approximately 6 am (obviously when neighbors woke up) there was a terrible noise of loud footsteps and water pipes rambling. Very unpleasant experience - like sleeping in the train station near the public toilet. I understand that the bathroom can be fixed but I see from the comments that it's been a problem before, so can happen again. Also, something must be done about sound isolation and the noisy water pipes.

Great location and clean and modern place

Great location just off the town main street but quiet (especially in the room downstairs). Nicely renovated - modern, with a large bathroom and shower downstairs. Everything worked great - heater/hot water/WiFi/TV for streaming. Town is very safe. We didn’t cook but the kitchen seems fully equipped. We especially appreciated the plentiful hot water and heated towel rack because it was cold when we were there and we hiked every morning for sunrise at Meteora - so coming back to a warm place with hot water and warm towels was sooooooo good! Lots of food options up and down the main street too - many places open til late so we’re never hungry. Recommended!

Not a big thing for us but good to know (especially for other americans) - the washer is not a washer-dryer combo so you’d have to dry your clothes outside on a drying rack. We sent our laundry to a laundromat near the roundabout - took them just under an hour and less than $10. Super easy.

Good amount of space and great location. Comfortable beds. Easy to find and appreciated the parking spot. Responsive host.

Not super clean (hair in the shower drain, bathroom fan was dirty and dusty). Coffee maker didn't work—seemed that it hadn't been maintained in a while.

A convenient one-night option when visiting Meteora

Very spacious with 4 beds, fit for a family. Location is quite good, at the center of the town. The restaurant next door is the best dining place in town, really worth trying.

Pity our stay was too short because we liked everything and mostly the charm of the city of Kalampaka.

The apartment is perfect for two adult couples and there are also two spare beds (in addition to the two queen beds) in case one couple has one, two or even three kids. The host has thoughtfully equipped with very much taste. He/she thought of every little detail a traveler would need and has a lot of taste in decor.

A fantastic base for our visit to Meteora. Nice comfy beds and restaurants and supermarkets within minutes from the apartment.

An unusual room layout that would work for a family, but a bit awkward for two couples as you have to walk past one bed to get to the door that leads to the other room.

Not a bad place to stay for a short time.

Location is very convenient, on the Main Street, next to a restaurant (it is pretty quiet though). The layout of the apartment is an open concept. We didn’t meet the owner. There is A/C upstairs but none downstairs and it can get pretty hot and stuffy downstairs. However being an open space we left the A/C on during the day and it wasn’t that bad at night. There is a washing machine but no detergent (however the mini market next to the place carries the small amounts of detergent so it was convenient to get it from there) but there is no place to hang the laundry (or maybe it is outside but I didn’t ask the owner). Anyway this was not a big deal. The apartment was relatively clean with new bad sheets and towels provided. Very close and easy to get to Meteora and the monasteries given you have a car. Parking was very handy, across the road (we were instructed where to park). Many places to eat around and very good, too. We were there only for 2 nights and I was sorry we didn’t stay a bit longer to explore a bit the surroundings. Very nice location, highly recommended!

The windows were left open prior to our arrival, so mosquitos got inside and were there all night. Would've been nice to have things like paper towels and fresh soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. the ones there looked and felt old.

Beautiful property in the heart of Meteora

The property was in the heart of Meteora. Within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Property was clean and comfortable. The washer machine was a big plus, however, no dryer. Drying racks were available.

The place is very central and easy to access. Parking is free (reserved lot opposite the apartment). The apartment is very big, with one king bed on the street level and another 3 beds in the basement. The basement has no airconditioner, but comes with heaters, which is warm enough. The washing machine is handy if you need to do laundry, although drying the clothes can be a challenge during the winter.

A dryer would be nice.

This is a super convenient place for family with ample space for the everyoone

The location of the apartment is convenient for drinks and food. The kids like the basement floor as they have their own space away from the parents. As this is first floor, there is no need to climb stairs or take lift to reach the apartment, super convenient for family with many luggage.

As the apartment was located at the first floor, there might be some noise from the common space outside the apartment eg. children playing late in the night. We also find the floor could be cleaner but we are fine with it as we brought slippers along to walk around.

It is an Okay stay.

Location is in the center of the town.

We had to struggle to use the washer without English instruction. The host was doing their best to help on the phone, but it still took us a good 40 minutes to settle with the machine. The apartment is not easy to be found because it is located on the main street with busy traffic, it is very easy to miss the apartment.

amazing clean and comfortable home in ideal location

This place was absolutely lovely!!! It was clean, comfortable, stylish, and in an ideal location close to everything with a short walk. The host was very kind and even left balloons and a local dessert for us to celebrate our honeymoon! They have a simple and easy door code which makes check in and daily access very easy. They host had a nice list of favorite restaurants and things to do. It was a whole boom with useful information and we found it very nice to have some recommendations to start with. Overall, it was a 5 star stay!

Great spacious apartment

The apartment was great, the room downstairs didn't have any windows but was great for the kids. Everything was sparkling clean, located in center Meteora with great restaurant next door and coffee shops all over.

The apartment is located on the main road of Meteora. it means that you can hear every car that goes by and every wedding celebration (and for some reason there was one every night). I think it's worth mentioning that if you sleep with open windows you get the noise from outside and if you close the windows you have to turn on the AC which is only in the upper floor, down below there was no AC available. We were in August so I guess it's the hottest month from all and maybe other months the AC is not as critical.

Great Urban Apartment

This is a large, clean, comfortable apartment in a fabulous urban location. Remarkably for urban areas, it comes with convenient parking, which we much appreciated. It is within easy walking distance of markets and shops. The restaurant directly next door is EXCELLENT. Laundry facilities were included, which we also much appreciated. Highly recommend.
