Gather family and friends beneath the live oaks at Morning Star, a restored 1930s Ocracoke cottage with three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and room for up to eight guests. As part of the Ocracoke Harbor Inn Cottages, your stay includes access to the Inn’s waterfront facilities on Silver Lake Harbor and complimentary docking at the Inn for one boat under 35 feet, with advance notice at the time of booking. Golf carts and bicycles are also available for rent at the Inn, making it easy to explore the village.

Morning Star combines the character of a classic island bungalow with the comforts of home. Start your morning with coffee on the front porch, spend the day exploring the village or enjoying Ocracoke’s beaches, then return for a relaxed dinner on the screened porch. Village shops, restaurants, and the Ocracoke Lighthouse are within walking distance.

Inside, comfortable living spaces offer room to gather over a meal, watch television, or unwind with a good book. The full kitchen includes a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer provide added convenience during your stay. Central air conditioning and heat, complimentary Wi-Fi, and three TVs help keep everyone comfortable.

The primary bedroom features a king bed. Each of the other two bedrooms has a queen bed and a twin bed, providing sleeping arrangements for families and friends. A double futon in the den offers an alternative sleeping space; maximum occupancy remains eight guests. Both full bathrooms have tub and shower combinations, and bed linens and bath towels are provided.

Outside, enjoy the shade of the live oaks, rinse off in the outdoor shower after the beach, or prepare dinner on the gas grill. The front and screened porches provide inviting places to spend time together and enjoy the slower pace of Ocracoke.

Parking is available for up to four vehicles. There is no additional parking for utility trailers; guests bringing a boat should contact us before booking to discuss trailer parking.
