"We had a great time staying at the cabin. It had plenty of beds and parking which is exactly what we needed for our large group. We had a blast making hot cakes for breakfast in the fully equipped kit..."

We had a great time staying at the cabin. It had plenty of beds and parking which is exactly what we needed for our large group. We had a blast making hot cakes for breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen. There were also tons of board games plus a billiards table, table hockey, and foosball.

We had a nice stay and appreciated how warm and cozy the house was, with good heating and an abundance of dry firewood provided during a huge winter storm. The cabin is old, but has its charm and is comfortable. It’s set up for large groups, but the game room and good kitchen made it into a great vacation for our family since we were basically snowed in.There were a few unexpected hiccups upon arrival—there was a mix-up with the cleaning schedule so the house wasn't fully turned over, and there were no cleared spaces to park out of the plow’s path. As a result, we had to do some very heavy shoveling to eventually get our cars out of the parking area. However, Allison was a professional host who responded immediately to our concerns and compensated us for the inconvenience. While the start of the trip was a bit bumpy, Allison’s professional and caring approach made all the difference.

We were quite happily surprised by the great sledding at our doorstep in the 4’ of fresh powder.

There was a certain charm to the history of the house and the furniture. But the house was not really conducive to a summer stay. The deck in the back could only be accessed through the front and was not attached to the house. The instructions indicated that there was a key to the back door to access the back but there wasn’t, so when we were barbecuing we had to go through the front and around to the back. Also there was no air conditioning so in the late afternoon the house was very warm. The ceiling fan in the parlor did not work. There were no ceiling fans in the bedrooms upstairs. The house could only be cooled off by opening the windows to get an evening breeze but one of the bedrooms did not even have screens on the windows. There was a lot of traffic on that road so when the windows were open in the evening it was very noisy.
