For the adventurous spirit, our river front cottage is nestled on the banks of the Allegheny River-- perfect local area for boating, floating, fishing and hunting. You will love to just sit back and watch the river roll by.
At the cottage, we offer more than just a vacation getaway. We offer the opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in nature's wonders -- to wake to the sound of songbirds, watch the eagles fly and end the day with the pop and crackle of a campfire, to breathe in fresh mountain air and hunt or fish in the Allegheny National Forest. Our Riverfront Retreat is an escape from the ordinary.
** this property is not secluded. It is a 2 acre lot with year round neighbors and no river access for boating or swimming. However, we have a shuttle service that will pick you and your kayaks up at the cottage drop you at a launch and return you back to the cottage. The service also offers rentals.

We loved our stay at the Riverfront Retreat. The cottage had everything you could need. There were plenty of Kcups and firewood which was great. We used both outdoor fireplaces. Beautiful deck down by the river. The nights were very cold while we were there though the inside was plenty warm. We would recommend this place.

Awesome stay!! Cute cabin with amazing outdoor experience. Everything we needed and wanted. Host was awesome about communicating regarding a storm coming in to make sure we knew what to do if power went out, which it did. But we were ready. Will stay again!

Such a cute little place to stay and relax by the river! We stayed for Labor Day weekend, kayaked and just relaxed on the property. Cooking on a fire by the river and relaxing on the deck overlooking river was just what we needed to relax and unwind. The only bad thing is we had to leave and go back to reality.. will definitely book this gem again soon.

Very nice and cute place very clean. The weather didn’t cooperate but that’s Mother Nature. Not having access to the river. Did kyack from the dam to Warren did some fishing on the way down. Caught some walleyes and small mouths Had a good time definitely peaceful. Probably will come back again

Clean, well stocked with ALL the essentials, on the river, and quiet!! There is a new covered patio down at the water's edge. Surprisingly, there were no bugs....just hummingbirds and butterflies! Not far from kayaking and hiking!!! We love it here!!!

Nice little cabin in a beautiful location.Well stocked and cared for, it’s obvious the owners are continually investing and updating different parts of the property. Though it rained just about everyday, we were able to use the two outdoor decks. We enjoyed fires on the deck off the house on chilly evenings. And loved sitting on the new river front deck at the end of the day. Lots of birds, turtles and other wildlife to look for. We were able to travel to a number of different locations around the county and national forest easily from the cabin. Definitely would recommend making this your home away from home if you are visiting Warren County!

This cabin is spacious, clean, comfy, and stocked with everything but your own food items. Gretta responded, and acted, quickly when needed. We felt so welcome and relaxed during our stay. Such a cute, warm and beautiful cabin! The hosts thought of everything from the coffee/tea bar to plenty of towels. We have stayed in many VRBO's and Gretta was one of the most organized with information, a detailed email and a binder of information when we arrived! Very nicely decorated! Since it was fall, I was worried about being warm enough, but the heaters were perfect and we were very cozy! I would like to come back when it's warmer to enjoy the beautiful deck, outside furniture and picnic tables by the river! I enjoyed bringing my coffee to the river in the mornings to enjoy the fall beauty! We will be back! Thank you!

My husband had a nice getaway at this lovely cabin. The owner was beyond wonderful. The cabin was spotless and very well decorated. It was as cozy as can be. We really enjoyed the back deck with the chiminea. It was perfect for fall evenings. I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back!!

It was a great stay. You can see the fireflies during the night right off the patio. Great fish and kayaking access in the back. Super clean and hosts were great. My boyfriend loved it for a birthday getaway. Will definitely go back.

The property was clean and very well stocked. Great was very quick to respond to questions. Unfortunately the neighbors were loud and obnoxious. I really didn't have any quite mornings or evenings and he played his radio all day every day. The property is loçated on a channel so you have to cross it and then cross to the other side of the island to get to the main river.

This was a fanatic rental for a long weekend getaway. The area is nice and quiet with beautiful scenery. Gretta explained everything so well and even went into details about what’s available in the area for activities to restaurants to doctors offices if needed. I would absolutely come back here in the future. It’s a nice home away from home.

My boyfriend and i both work from home. Between jobs always lingering, kids always needing something and many other hustles of everyday life, we were looking to get away and relax. Detach from everyday norms. Our stay here allowed us to do just that. We had all the comforts of home without chaos. Beautiful deck with fireplace, picnic table by the river watching the geese. Nap tested recliners. Comfortable bed and beautiful decor. Conveniently located near town with many wonderful eatery’s yet out of the way from society. This was the perfect location to suit our needs. Our host was beyond exceptional. Everything we could possibly need was available to us. Our host was fantastic at communication. Everything in home clearly labeled in a way to flow with the decor. I highly reccoment this property!
