About Caribbean Breeze
Caribbean Breeze is built on a slope overlooking the Atlantic Ocean where our guests experience a continuous flow of fresh Caribbean breeze. This 5 unit establishment defines the meaning of true value and boasts one of the most tranquil, private, and peaceful atmosphere in the Caribbean - where nothing comes between you and nature but nature itself.
Caribbean Breeze is within a 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach, 7 minutes drive to other neighboring beaches, and about 10 minutes to the city of Castries which is the capital of St. Lucia. It is also near all the major hotels, and activities such as the well known Friday Night street party in Gros Islet. There are numerous restaurants and charter boats in the area as well as the Cap Estate Golf Course and the Bay Walk Mall and Casino in Rodney Bay. The cricket stadium, Pigeon Island, and Jazz Festival ground are minutes away.
All units, including the studio and one bedroom unit are very spacious. The two-bedroom units offer cathedral ceilings, living/dining rooms, full size kitchens with all utensils, and a private balcony with ocean view. All units are equipped with full size American tubs, queen size beds, and linens provided by Caribbean Breeze.
Caribbean Breeze boasts a huge sun deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Our guests find it the ideal spot for watching the early morning sunrise or the stars at night. It is also the perfect spot for tanning or a barbecue. Maybe it is the connection with nature that is felt here but we find our guests spend most of their time on the sun deck.
Caribbean Breeze offers the prospective traveler a variety of choices and can accommodate a party of one to a party of eight couples. So take your pick: A studio, a one bedroom or a two bedroom unit. If that is not enough room, how about us offering you two adjoining 2 bedroom units as a 4 bedroom?

Caribbean Breeze is a really nice place to spend some time on St. Lucia; nicer even than some of the smaller resorts that cost 4 or 5 times as much per night. The view and the constant breeze on the sun deck cannot be beat.
The location necessitates a rental car unless you are OK doing a lot of walking or making use of the public taxi/shuttle vans. Taking the regular taxis into Gros Islet on a daily (or more often) basis would be too expensive.
With a car, though, there are lots of things to do nearby in Cas En Bas, in Rodney Bay, at Pigeon Island. All in all, Caribbean Breeze worked well for us!

The only hard part of this review is where to start. The place is magnificent. The view from my private balcony is only surpassed by the view from the main balcony. The breeze is perfect. The side balcony is sheltered enough you can even sit here while there is rain, most of the time, and not get a drop on you. The main balcony has a nice constant breeze that helps to keep you warm, but not hot.
The place is very quiet, unless the soft sound of birds chirping is too much for one's delicate ears! lol Any external noises are not to loud, nor do they last very long. (Like the neighbor down the hill cutting their grass once in a while.)
The living area is very nicely appointed and the cushions are comfortable. The place is very clean and modern.
The twice weekly maid service is a treat and for a small fee she will do your laundry also!
The master bedroom, in the two bedroom version, is a very large. The air conditioning unit has no problem cooling it off. The second bedroom also has a/c and s very cooling. The bathroom is a nice large size. The hot water comes quickly and the shower is very nice.
The owner is just building a new propane gas BBQ which will be very nice to use.
There is a beach that you can see and it is about a leisurely 15 minute walk from the place. The beach is very nice and it is not used too much.
Rodney Bay is very close. A bit longer walk or a $40xcd cab fare (about $12-13 USD). You must go to the Friday night fish fry. Beer ranges from $4-5xcd (less than $2usd). Chicken and pork chops, corn, skewers of meat, and other wonderfully tasting foods are available for small prices. Like $7xcd (less than $3usd) for a piece of BBQ chicken.
The view is breathtaking and the only thing better is the owner Cyrus. Cyrus is a classy man. He asks what he can do to make your stay more enjoyable. Cyrus has done everything and more to make the stay more than pleasant. He has shared his food, has even cooked for us and has driven us into the fish fry and back. All out of the hospitality of his kindness.
I have stayed at other Caribbean island guest homes, but none are nearly as wonderful as this one.
My only regret is there is not a 6 star rating. Ho yes, and my stay is two months and I wish I could stay longer.
