This was our first stay in Carmel Valley, and what a treat this cabin is. Best spot is the outdoor patio. We were outside enjoying the canyons when two eagles soared about 10 feet over our head, wow! The cabin is located in a very quiet neighborhood but the village full of shops and restaurants is within walking distance. The host Rachelle is very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this cabin, it’s a ten out of ten!

Charming and perfect.

The location was great for day trips to Monterey, Pacific Grove and Big Sur. The house was clean and well equipped in the kitchen. We had two problems during our stay--a large oak on the property fell on a day we were luckily gone, very close to the house. We came back to workers and chain saws. The back yard was not usable by us or our dogs for the next days and nights of our visit, which had been a major reason we chose this property. Then our last night the power went completely out. We waited to call until the next morning and used flashlights, but none of the phone contacts replied to phone calls or texts. Just by luck a tenant came out to his car and was able to help us locate the fuse box and flip the breaker. The owner apologized for the inconvenience about the fallen tree, but did not respond about the power outage and made no offer to discount our stay.

The rustic cabin is so much better than the photos, very cute and roomy. We loved cooking in the kitchen and barbequeing on the deck-great grill. Most of our time in the afternoon, we spent on the deck. A lot of shade and a wonderful breeze. Everything was clean and well stocked! Just a short walk was a nice, inexpensive Mexican restaurant. We hope to visit this rustic cabin again!

Rachelle's little cabin is so warm and comfy we had no problem feeling at home! It was raining most of our stay but we still had the best time staying in and making a nice warm fire. Thank you for sharing your home - we've made some great memories there!

We loved the cozy little cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The bed was super comfortable. The dogs liked the backyard to run around in. Lots of treasures in town, the delightful walkable bakery and cute tasting rooms.

We had such a lovely time celebrating my husband’s birthday while staying at this cute cabin! The bed was so comfortable, and the sofa & loveseat were comfy too—perfect for lounging around. This property has a cozy cabin feel, but still has all the necessities of home; it was the perfect way to relax before and after exploring the beautiful surrounding areas. Also, our pup enjoyed several walks around the neighborhood as well as running around in the fenced backyard. Finally, the owner Rachelle was so helpful and kind before and during our stay, answering questions and providing helpful information. We would definitely stay here again!

I just love this area. Been coming for over 20 years. Rachelle’s cabin is the perfect place to stay. Had everything we needed for our stay. Super comfortable. Also celebrated my grandson’s 15th birthday. So many memories.

The property was very nice and rustic. The cabin was easy to find. It was clean on the inside and had all of the items needed for our stay. The area was very quiet and the scenery was beautiful! If you had no plans on driving then this place is great. Everything you need is within a half mile walking distance (restaurants, markets, wine tastings, etc). The host was extremely nice and communicated well. We definitely would stay again if we come back to the area.

It definitely has a rustic cabin vibe. The cabin was clean. Everything was in proper working order. Lightning was more on the dimmer side. The cabin was extremely quiet and peaceful. Rachelle was a great host — very attentive. My only suggestion would to change the bathroom shower head. The fixed position makes it difficult in washing/rinsing oneself off. D & K, SF Bay Area

My cousin and I spent 3 days and 2 nights in this cozy little mountain-themed cabin. Cool if Tahoe is your thing 🐻 We were stoked that it was dog friendly and had a fenced yard. The outdoor patio area was nice but the yard could use a little love. It also has a house in case you need to wash off your beach mutt. The place had a full kitchen too so it was easy to enjoy meals at home. And it’s a good thing we brought food because most of the town closes down on Tuesdays. House can easily accommodate two couples that are willing to share a small bathroom. Back bedroom was a little stuffy and floral smelling, but fine after airing it out. We hope to be back!

We stayed here for two nights to attend a wedding in the area. The cabin was adorable, spotlessly clean and great location. Very good communication, easy check-in (as long as you don't have to use the keypad) and comfortable bed. Lots of towels and treats!

We enjoyed our return visit and highly recommend this property. The host provided a clean and well appointed cabin that is close to the charming Carmel Valley Village. Garland Ranch Park is close by for nature lovers, and Monterey is half hour away. Oak trees on the property give the impression of being in a forest. Quiet at night. We plan to return soon.

My wife and I enjoyed a comfortable three-night stay in this cozy and rustic cabin, with great decor throughout. It is well equipped for cooking and the island/bar worked was convenient to enjoy dinner and a bottle of wine. The bedroom was spacious, and the bed was comfortable, but only a double/full. We explored the local shops and eateries in Carmel Valley, as well as in Carmel and Monterey, less than 30 minutes away. The cabin made for a great basecamp, and we will definitely come back and stay here.

Rachelle's cozy, elegant cabin is tucked away in a quiet corner of Carmel Valley, yet minutes from some fine dining places, and a quick drive into Carmel and Monterey. Absolutely everything you might need for cooking, sleeping, enjoying life is there, and the cabin itself is beautifully decorated. Highly recommend this gem!

This stay had my husband and I dreaming of a similar cabin we could have some day. We absolutely loved the charm, comfort, and peace offered at this location. Listening to the rain on the roof and warming ourselves by the fire was easily one of the best parts of our entire trip. Unforgettable. Would book again without hesitation.

Our second stay here and the owner keeps the place up nicely. Cozy and comfy, enough of everything, fenced in yard for the dogs, easy access to Carmel Valley stores and the wonderful community river walks for the dogs. Easy access to Carmel and Monterey for charging our EV.

This place was located in a great area - close to restaurants, wine tasting and local market - and in a quiet neighborhood. The backyard was fenced as promised so it was good for our dogs to roam around. Their are permanent tenants on the same lot which we did not know about until later, but it did not cause any problems. Nice getaway!

Bed was comfortable too.Loved the wood burning fireplace and the fish tacos at the Corkscrew Cafe were fabulous!. We had a nice nice stay at this comfortable cabin over Thanksgiving. Great communication from Rachelle before and during our stay. Bed was comfortable and the entire place was clean. I would recommend adding a broiler pan to the kitchen. There isn’t anything large enough to put a roast or, in our case, a small turkey. Not the end of the world as there is a Safeway about six miles away. All in all, we recommend.

Quiet, well located, 20 min drive to Carmel Beach and shopping (Coach outlet!). Close to restaurants and golf course. Brought my dog, he had a great time, and enjoyed the fenced in yard. Rustic highly themed interior. Very cute, all wood and all the creature comforts. The only mildly negative thing was the shower. I'm 5'4" and the lowest the showerhead would go hit me directly in the face. So taking a shower was an experience. I'd recommend a hand held attachment! Otherwise no complaints!

Vrbo sent an email to my google mail 4 days in advance stating that the owner had not provided access info and I was to contact her. It took a while to finally communicate since I was waiting on my google account and she replied to my vrbo account. The first thing I did was to check to see that the yard was secure for my dog. The prior renter failed to pick up several dog poops, and of course I managed to step in one. The house its self was amazing on the inside. The attention to detail to really make it look like a cabin was wonderful. You have to see it to believe it. I would suggest a couple of things. There needs to be a few smaller glasses in the cupboard and some extra wine glasses that will fit into the dishwasher. The flashlights did not work and I could not find any matches for the wood stove or for candles. I bought a box and left it there. The yard on the inside and the outside really could use some cleanup work. It sort of looks trashy, particularly if you look around at the other properties. Flight rd has some nice homes on it. Overall, it was worth the price.

Spacious cabin, very clean with a small fenced yard that our two Golden retrievers enjoyed. Fully equipped and stocked kitchen. Lovely quiet area very near Carmel Valley Village. Gorgeous big oak trees. Enjoyed walks with our dogs in the neighborhood. Owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend.
