Well equipped clean quirky property set in a busy working harbour. Would 100% recommend

The location is great. So close to the harbour and the shops. The kids loved crabbing and eating the ice cream at Ruby’s. The donut shop was great too. So many nice restaurants too. The property itself was ideal for our trip. It was clean and well equipped. We didn’t need anything. I noticed a couple of areas that needed some maintenance, the owners acted quickly and organised the repair straight away. The quirky tilt on the property was noticeable and adds to the character of the cottage. If we come back to Mevagissey we would stay here again and we would recommend Corner cottage.

Not a lot to dislike about the property itself. Maybe a new TV And a coffee machine But that’s me probably just being picky

Spacious and well located cottage, particularly for summer breaks.

Spacious, uncluttered and well designed cottage. Excellent location in the old village centre. Very comfortable beds and furnishings. Parking arranged by the owners is a few minutes flat walk to the public car park.

It seemed like the cottage was not used since summer. There was a damp smell on entry and there was no hot water for the first night. The owners did rectify this issue promptly. Luckily, when we stayed the weather was mild winter days. The elaborate WIFI connected, remotely monitored electric radiators did not work well. Needed to get up early to switch them on manually. Lesson, don't rely on the WIFI router supplied by your internet provider for house management. They are cheap (free) and need rebooting regularly. When the internet went don't (which does happens to every house), the heating goes haywire and the bedroom TV does not work. Towel rail in ensuite room set to come on only in the morning for a short period and can't be overridden. Cold bathroom in the morning and if you have a shower in the evening your towels will still be damp next morning. The timings of the house were set to British Summer Time. All in all, apart from the first night stress of no hot water and the hope it would be resolved (which is was), the technology controlled wacky heating arrangement was not massive problem for us.

unit was cold soaked and took several days to warm up. we needed a handrail on one set of steps, we could have used a suitcase rack or two available. we were unable to carry our heavy bags up the stairs.

Lovely

The cottage was beautiful. It was a tad on the small side, but I suppose that was to be expected. It was exceptionally clean and exceptionally well located. Unfortunately all of the electrics run off apps or smart technology, which for us Holdens was very difficult. The kitchen has no storage and there were quite a lot of items, but if you wanna cook when you’re in we’re not available

The people who run the cottage were very helpful and informative. The location was excellent, so was the cottage itself it had every think you needed for a holiday vacation. Even little extra touches! Good parking facilities too!

Very good

The location was perfect. Everything on our doorstep and a short drive to visit plenty of interesting places. Property was clean and very comfortable. Heating sufficient for the time of year. Free parking for 1 car. Communication with hosts was excellent which led to smooth arrival and departure.

Home equipped with all essentials for a short stay however little extras would improve our ratings enormously i.e more than 1 dishwasher tablet, tea towel, bin bag etc. A small welcome pack in our experience of many properties is much appreciated and valued. If we visited in the summer a drying rack for your own beach towels essential.

Ideal location and superb cottage

The location was superb . The cottage was wonderful for our 10 day stay over Christmas and New Year . It was warm and cosy spotlessly clean and had everything we needed . Parking in the car park was easy and only a short walk from the cottage . Our friends joined us for New Year and were equally impressed with everything .

It would be useful to have Information regarding the electric radiators which were super efficient once we discovered how to control them

Superb

A perfect location in the middle of the village but not on the main road. Even with the weather being pretty wet, which meant frequent trips back to base to dry out, it really was a relaxing and comfortable short break. The property has all the facilities you could want for 2 to 4 people.

Comfortable and convenient

Stayed for 3 night winter break. Excellent location. Central but quiet. Booking included parking permit in nearby car park. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped (although the only kitchen appliances we used were the kettle and fridge). The heating was a little quirky (each radiator controlled from its own panel), but pushing the buttons till desired result achieved seemed to work! Good wi-fi. Several restaurants were closed (out of season) but enough were open for us to eat in a different place every evening. The Ship Inn is highly recommended! The Christmas tree in the living room was a nice touch.

The only slight negative was the size of the washbasin in the main bedroom ensuite. Only really big enough for hand washing. Not a problem for us as we just used the main bathroom instead.

Staycation 21

Very up to date with facilities good quality bed and very well laid out property. Set in the town so no driving around to do,restaurants all in walking distance. Parking included in the price at a local car park near by which is a nice touch.

No areas to worry about here. Sink in top bedroom en-suite to small not practical but that is just a personal thing.

The location of the property was excellent. The information & information provided by the hosts was very good. The beds very comfortable & facilities were excellent.

The only issue with the property was the smell of damp & the mould which we removed from the skirting boats in the living room. Everything else was very good.

The house is clearly regularly flooded so crusty paint round bottom of walls and strong smell of damp through ground floor. The dirty laundry from last guests was left behind which we found disgusting. Tv ancient and remote doesn’t work (clearly a problem the owner knows about and hasn’t fixed as is mentioned in guest book). Very average cottage at expensive price we wouldn’t go back.

Brilliant

The location was soo close to the harbour we could take our own coffee down there to watch the boats . The parking was so well organised. The accommodation was very comfortable.
