The Neighborhood:
In the heart of the Napa Valley, plenty of open vineyard landscaping surrounds the Silverado Resort. Minutes away are the surrounding towns of Yountville, St. Helena, Sonoma, Calistoga. Wineries dot the area by the 100s, and top notch culinary options are vast. I include a restaurant list in my welcome binder. Outdoor activities include cycling, hiking, nearby lakes, swimming, hot air balloon rides, etc.
Getting Around:
Napa Valley is best explored in a car as the area is expansive.
Wine tours are popular and many different organized ones are available, or explore on your own. Cycling is a popular sport enjoyed by many.
Public transportation is not near our apartment.

Great location on the Silverado golf course, close to downtown Napa and the rest of the valley. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, covered parking. The host was quite communicative and helpful as well. If the fireplace worked (even just a closed unit that wouldn't create a fire hazard), the condo would be perfect. We look forward to staying there again.

We just sold our house at Silverado and wanted to stay a few days at the resort to relax. The condo is in a nice location and the bed is comfortable. The condo needs repairs and there is minimal kitchen cooking equipment - not enough pots/pans to cook a simple meal. As long as you want to eat out, it should be ok. Very weird small dishwasher. No dishwashing soap, no sponge, no dish brush, so difficult to clean.
We emailed and called the property manager, but heard nothing back. We were going to stay for five days, but only stayed three. To be fair, part of the reason was the smoke from the nearby fires, And no refund of course.
Unsatisfactory to say the least.
