Great House Guest House

The hotelier rang ahead to confirm when we would be checking in, meaning one less thing to remember on a busy day! When checking in, she confirmed our dietary preferences (which happen to be rather specific for us; it's the first time my wife has been confident enough to partake in a hot hotel breakfast in years, it was lush and she had seconds) and the time when we'd expect breakfast, making the whole experience very personalized. The house itself is so cute, and is maintained to a very high standard, very well furnished, with the room, bathroom and bedding excellently clean.

The layout of the private bathroom relative to the room is a little awkwardly placed down the corridor, so it might be best to remind guests to bring robes (though the towels provided were more than sufficient for modesty) and the mattress could have been more comfortable (probably mostly down to personal preference).

The only small niggle was that it wasnt clear on booking.com that the private bathroom wasnt en-suite. The lovely host lent me a dressing gown so it wasn't a problem, but I think this should be made clear

Lovely period property in a great location for those exploring the area.

Not a negative, but visitors should understand that this part of Llantwit is not blessed with lots of off-street parking.

Lovely friendly host, amazing size room in historical house, beautiful gardens and a lovely breakfast the next morning! Will definitely use again and happy to 💯 recommend 😀
