I'm so glad I chose to stay at The Great House - I have overlooked this accommodation before as the house looked a bit grey and imposing, but it is actually lovely inside! The room was spacious and well-appointed, and you can definitely get a sense of the history of the house (wooden beams and lead paned windows). The weather was dull and rainy, but the room was warm and welcoming! The hostess is lovely and friendly, and she brings great energy to the house. I did have a car that I managed to park outside the house just off the road - once you are here Llantwit is very walkable. For UWC Atlantic parents/guardians - it's a 7 min drive from this accommodation to UWC Atlantic College.

Superior property close to many attractions and very well priced

Everything - the property itself, the small additional touches in the room, the host who was super friendly and helpful and the wonderful breakfast served in the private dining room. We stayed overnight after attending a wedding nearby and were able to drop our bags off beforehand, which was very helpful. Thank you so much, and we will hopefully return with more friends for an afternoon tea!

Paula was a warm & welcoming host, nothing was too much trouble & she was very flexible in terms of what & when we had breakfast. The house is located a short walk into the town but still very close to the main A48 & train station.

Paula is the absolute best. Tasty breakfast made to order. Bed was unexpectedly very comfortable.

Would have preferred an en suite bathroom but still had a dedicated bathroom so this is just a preference and not a complaint.
