About this house rental
This 3 bedroom/2 bath beach home has a large wrap around deck, an unobstructed view of the beach, and a wonderful crow's nest that lets you see for miles. There are queen beds in two of the bedrooms, a twin bed in the small bedroom, and a full size futon in the crow's nest. Plenty of covered parking, a washing machine and dryer, a small grill downstairs, an outside eating area, and all the beautiful sunrises you would want.
There are back stairs that go directly into a fenced back yard.
Pets will be considered, prior approval is required.
Pet Fees
Additional Pet Deposit of $100 will apply. Additional Pet Cleaning fee of $35 per pet will apply.
Pet Rules
Well behaved dogs only, this means stay off the furniture, no pee pads, no door scratching.
Crate trained dogs (this means no barking) may be left crated inside while you are gone.
Otherwise, no pets left unattended on the premises (this means inside the home, on the deck, or in the fenced yard).
We have very nice neighbors who are full time residence. We do not want to receive complaints about constantly barking dogs.
Clean up after your pet, this includes the fenced and unfenced yard.
We want to remain a pet friendly rental. In the past, some pet owners have not respected our home or our neighbors. We hope that the Pet Rules help you to decide if you and your pet would be comfortable in our home.

Excellent, the normal 1 or 2 couples on the beach was down to a whopping Zero. We had the whole beach to ourselves. I know I host did that especially for us. Maybe mother nature had a little to do w it. We just totally enjoyed the privacy. Thanks

The property was exactly as I expected, and then some. It was absolutely perfect. I had some questions for Ron. The owner that in hindsight weren’t that imported, but he got back to me almost immediately and answered my question. Close to the beach close to the nature center. I will definitely be returning to this property.

The inside is cute, clean and beachy... beds were all
Comfortable and cozy. The view was excellent from the back deck. And the proximity to the beach was great.
We had two issues about this rental, first and foremost, the mosquitos were out of control. If you go, be prepared to cover yourself all day with mosquito spray. We have stayed in Matagorda for years and have not felt them like this, but we also hadn't stayed this close to the beach either, usually renting on the river or at the condos. We know mosquitos can be hard to remedy.
Another small issue that actually could have been remedied was the front and back yard was overgrown, while every property around us was mowed very low and clean. It took away from the experience of bringing our dogs as we wouldn't let them go in the fenced in backyard for fear of rattlesnakes in the tall grass.
While we didn't get to enjoy very much outdoor time at the property, as a family, we enjoyed our time at the beach so overall still worth the trip!
