This working harbour has been part of the Victoria landscape since the late 1800's and is abound with float planes, water taxis, tug boats, the Black Ball ferry to Port Angeles, the Clipper to Seattle ... could there be more!
If you want adventure, stroll down to the wharf and take a sea kayaking tour around the harbor or along the coastline. See the city from a different angle, as well as harbor seals, river otters and other sea life. Or challenge yourself with a whale watching tour and learn about the majestic Orca's and see them in their natural habitat.
The location is unbeatable – Walk the inner harbor to downtown to enjoy the cafes, restaurants, museums or theatre … or hop on a water taxi to one of the many inner harbor stops … or take a stroll along Dallas Road to comb the beaches. 1) We have never rented a property for the past 24 winter vacation years that never had a microwave which is a large
part of vacationers cooking. 2) After receiving a stern memo regarding noise concerns, we had to put up with a week
of hammering and jack-hammering in the condo across the hallway that was being renovated. It was so loud you were unable to talk to each other, watch TV or talk to anyone on the telephone. 3) Only means of heat was the fire-
place which we refuse to sleep with it on. 4) Never rented a condo that required replacement of toilet tissue, kleenex,
soap, etc. On the plus side 1) View was excellent 2) maid service was friendly and good even though they didn't have
much to clean. 3) Caretaker was always busy cleaning and friendly. 3) Security was excellent both at the front door
and the parking garage.
