Welcome to our cozy BuoyHouse on Agate Beach located at the South-end of Lopez Island. Our family has enjoyed many fun, relaxing, and quality family times at Buoy House over the past twenty-five years . . . and it is now available to families and couples who will enjoy all the peaceful surroundings along with the awesome West facing waterfront views. Easy beach access will allow you to explore the driftwood beach, and perhaps your children can use their imagination and build a small fort, while you sit on the beach reading your favorite book. You can walk Agate Beach, hike a short distance to Iceberg Point to see more amazing views, ride your bike, sit on the front porch, and perhaps see an eagle or two. Each evening you will witness ever changing spectacular sunsets bringing your fun filled day to a memorable closing.

BuoyHouse is professionally maintained and always kept in a clean and tidy manner. You will find all the necessary cooking equipment for meal preparation along with coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. Sleeping accommodations have quality linens and bedding. Buoy House is nestled in a quiet and rural area and is just an enjoyable fifteen-minute drive through pastoral farm country into town. Known as Lopez Village, you will find a fully stocked market, shops, cafes, galleries, restaurants, and bakery.

Note: BuoyHouse LLC does not charge an additional housekeeping fee as housekeeping is included in the stated rental amount. No pets whatsoever are allowed anywhere on the property.

Very clean, beautiful cabin. Beach was lovely for our toddler! I will say that for the really light sleepers, you are pretty close to the Whidbey Island military base and they were doing a training Thursday evening ha. But besides that everything was WONDERFUL!!

We returned to this property after staying here for the first time 4 years ago. It left such a lasting impression on us, that we knew we would eventually return. We had amazing memories that we wanted to revisit. It just doesn't disappoint at all! The home is the perfect size, impeccably clean, and has all the amenities needed. Propane grill, hot water with great water pressure, comfy beds and extra blankets, games, great window curtains, etc.! The location and view can't be beat. Bald eagles, otters, tide pools, deer, giant slugs....so cool!The Buoy House just feels like home. We love sitting on the front porch, watching the tides. We love Iceburg Point and Shark Reef. It's always an adventure. We love the locals and supporting local artisans and businesses. It feels like a small community that embraces everyone. We always felt welcome.We are so grateful for the chance to return here and thank the owners for sharing their amazing home! It will always hold special memories for us that we will cherish forever!

The place is rustic and very clean. The water views and sound of waves are accessible from the living room.The manager and owner were both extremely generous and helpful when we had an unfortunate situation with the ferry. I really appreciate their help, it made the trip much nicer and easier.

The bouy house is amazing. The location cannot be beat. The house is well stocked with everything we needed. The host was great with communication. We have been to Lopez many times but this was our best trip. We did beach walks/hikes everyday and enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets each night. Hopefully we will be able to return again. We loved our relaxed time at the Bouy House. It was cozy and just right for our family. We had everything we needed. The space is clean and well cared for. We prefer homey and loved to new and fancy. The view from all the front rooms is magazine worthy and oh so calming.The quiet location on beautiful Agate Beach a short walk away from Iceberg Point was such a joy. We had no need of a car with all the hiking, trail running, biking and paddle boarding right out the door. Chadwick Hill and Watmough Bay are super close too and a bike ride up to Lopez Hill for a little mountain biking were fun adventures as well. The south end of the island is the quietest area of an already quiet island - exactly what we were looking for. It was our first time on Lopez. Orcas and San Juan Islands are bigger and there is more “there there” on the other islands but sometimes less is more. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

This little gem was perfect for our week on Lopez Island! It is right across a quiet little dead end street from the beach and the unobstructed view is fabulous! We love how the view was available no matter whether we were working in the kitchen, eating at the dining table, or relaxing in the living room. The home was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. The beds were comfortable, the towels were soft, and quiet frankly, we would not hesitate staying here again in the future! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ go to Buoy House!

My family had such a great time during our stay at the Bouy House! Its location on a dead-end road was perfect and the sunsets were absolutely amazing!! It's a short walk to the Iceberg Point trail and such a fun hike; we did it every day. There was a family of otters playing and eating right in front of the house every day we were there. The house was clean and well-stocked, my only complaint is the mattress in the master bedroom needs to be upgraded. We had such a relaxing time here, we would definitely come back.

This beach house is in an amazing location on a beautiful island. Cooking and enjoying dinner while watching the sunset created some great memories for the family. We rented some kayaks and explored the coastline around here and I would highly recommend that as well.

This was our second stay at the Buoy House. It is cute, clean, and enough space for a family of four. The kitchen was tidy and had space for the groceries we brought. Everything was in good condition and working order. We love the location and the views. We launched our kayaks from Agate Beach and enjoyed paddling around the bay. Iceberg Point is within walking distance. Watmough Bay and Shark Reef are nearby. And it’s an easy drive to all points north on Lopez. It’s about a 10 mile up and down bike ride to the village. We had a great visit to the Farmers Market on Saturday. This is our favorite island to relax and unwind. We keep coming back and hope to stay at the Buoy House again!

One of the better equipped VRBO’s I’ve stayed at, especially the kitchen. The property is clean, comfortable & thoughtfully outfitted. Very peaceful & tranquil, wonderful to be that close to the water. At little distant from town but we were fine with that. Maybe it was too early in the season but many of businesses had reduced hours and/or days they were open. We were somewhat surprised by that in mid June. The hike to and around Iceberg Point was great.

We had such an amazing stay at the Bouy House for our mini "babymoon." The pictures accurately reflect the property - it is adorable, super clean and comfortable with incredible views! The property manager Ruth is so wonderful to work with; very prompt and willing to help with anything you may need. We absolutely loved being able to walk the private beach area, Iceburg Point just up the road was a nice little hike with more spectacular views, and the sunsets from the beach and even the living room windows were unforgettable! It was the perfect place to come relax before our family addition!

This was our fourth stay at Buoy House. We love how comfortable it is, and we love soaking up the views all day and enjoying the driftwood Agate Beach for sunset each evening. The property is well-cared for, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. This year we saw otter swimming right out front. In our daily walks to Iceberg Point we saw seals, a sea lion, and Orcas. It is a special spot!

This house was perfect for our family of four. The access to the beach was right across the street which made it easy to launch kayaks. Our daughters loved playing at the beach and walking to Iceberg point. The house was very clean. Although the house is on a dead end street, there is a bit more car and bike traffic because there is a public beach at the end of the road. This was not a problem in any way, and certainly wasn’t constant, but as a mother of young kids it’s worth mentioning.

This property actually exceeded my expectations. The view is absolutley stunning. We had a couple of otters that visited every evening. The neighbors were close, but didn't at all interfere with us feeling isolated. Iceberg point was a beautiful hike. We saw twin baby fawns and beautiful doe. The bald eagles that coasted up and down the beach were also beautiful! Shark Reef is a must go to! Short drive and lots of wildlife. We saw seals, sea lions, porpoises, a snake, and some orcas from very far away. We also did a whale watching tour that left from Lopez Island and it was awesome! We saw orcas and a humpback. Dress very warm and wear sunscreen! Also bring a snack! The house isn't as dated as the pictures may make it seem. It was very comfortable and clean. I especially loved having a washer and dryer. The south end general store is close, but very small. The best grocery store is Lopez Village Market, which is 15-20 minutes away. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this home. The views are what make it amazing. I highly recommend!!!

The Buoy House was perfect for our family of 3. Comfortable living room with amazing views, including from the dining room table, well-stocked kitchen, cozy porch to sit and watch the beautiful sunsets. It was great to be able to walk to Iceberg Point, and on the beach in front of the house. We had an inaguaral outing in our new, inflatable kayak, and had so much fun exploring around the offshore rocks at low-tide. Access was a little tricky through the driftwood, but we succeeeded! Looking forward to a return trip--could happily soak in that view and the beautiful beaches, coves, and fields of the island for a week next time!

Very clean and well kept beach getaway on the island. The house was well stocked with everything you could need. The view and sunsets were great - if it had been warmer it would have been nice to enjoy the porch and yard and grill. Thank you for sharing your island house with us!
