Our one bedroom, one bath cottage A is a private getaway for the vacationing or working professional. We offer a private living space with patio and kitchenette. A quiet, peaceful, location, central to all Bay Area attractions and businesses.
Welcome to Los Gatos Cottage, our light and bright one bedroom cottage is a 10min walk to the heart of downtown Los Gatos with all its fabulous shops and restaurants. You will find a detached bedroom with King Bed, living area with soft couch, full bath and a kitchenette with a private yard and grill. We also offer storage for personal things and/or a bike. Whether you're on a business trip or vacation this is an ideal place to stay as a home away from home.
There is complete privacy with your own private entrance. The space will comfortably fit 2 adults.
Guest Access
As our guest you will have access to all the following: King Bed, on site laundry, free WIFI, a gas grill, desk, microwave, TV / DVD Player and Apple TV with Netflix access. We have an extensive DVD collection as well, if you just want to stay in and watch a movie.

The Neighborhood
The cottage is walking distance to Vasona Lake Park with activities for runners, bicyclists, hikers, and skaters. A short hike takes you to Vasona Lake Park where you, or your family can ride the Billy Jones Wildcat rail road, paddle boats and sailing on the lake or enjoy an outdoor Carousel. A few minutes away is Saint Josephs Hill trail for mountain biking, jogging and hiking.
The cottage is a five minute walk from the trailhead for the beloved Los Gatos Creek Trail for hiking and biking. Nestled at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains and a perfect gateway to all of Silicon Valley. The Town of Los Gatos is a wildly popular destination for everything from museums, the arts, nightlife with dancing and fine dining, to outdoor activities. The summer months feature two famous free concert series - Wednesday night Jazz on the Plazz and Sunday afternoon Los Gatos Music in the Park. Both are within walking distance from the cottage.
Convenient location near Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Peets Coffee, Starbucks, Panera Bread, and Shopping Centers.
Getting around
The Cottage is two blocks from Highway 17 Hwy 280, 85 and Hwy 101.

PETS: -
-- Dogs -- Are allowed on a case by case basis. Here are a few points that must be meet before I consider hosting your stay in my cottage with your dog.
- I will not host dogs that or larger then 25lbs
- I will only host dog breeds that do NOT shed normally
- Your dog should not bark and cry a lot
- Dogs will need to remain OFF the bed, couch and other furniture at all times
- If your leaving your dog in the cottage alone for long amounts of time it will need to be kept in a crate.
- Depending on the breed of dog I may require an additional non-refundable pet deposit of $200.00 at move in.

- Must remain covered when not at home
- Must remain in there cage at all times

Stayed in Cottage A for a few months while finishing school. Chris was immediately welcoming and communicative from the get go. The property is in a sweet spot, very quiet and just a stroll away from downtown LG. Close to VTA bus stops and the 17. Overall, had a great time! Thanks Chris & family!!

My husband and I stayed for a month to support the birth of our granddaughter locally. We loved the privacy of the cottage, the comfortable king size bed and all the amenities it had to offer. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful to take walks.
The kitchen is small as pictured. You could cook, but we limited our cooking to breakfast and had dinners at our daughters home. A lot of rentals in this price bracket only have a coffee maker and hot plate.
Chris was quick to respond and very accomodating.
We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay! Chris (the host) is a great communicator and he had done a great job of making sure everything one might need is provided. The towels and linens are great, the bed is comfy and there's plenty of room. He even has a small desk space and a multiple charger station. The kitchen is well equipped (even a small oven) and even though we did not use the grill or second refrigerator it was nice to have them available on his patio. The parking is right at the door and very secure. I have already told others about this unit because it's the nicest one we've stayed in while visiting family in Los Gatos. It's a very short drive and about a mile to mile and 1/2 walk (depending on the route you take) into the downtown area with sidewalks all along the way. Do not hesitate to consider this cottage for your Los Gatos stay. The photos and description on line are very accurate. I think you will be very happy with your decision.
