A newly renovated 4 bedroom, 2 bath condo that sleeps 8 and has all the comforts of home.
The master bedroom includes a king bed, while one guest room has a queen bed and one other guest room has trundle beds, and the forth bedroom has a twin day bed. A pull-out queen couch provides additional sleeping space.
A gas fireplace, 2 porches and a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless-steel appliances, a full dining room and open concept make entertaining easy.
Less than a quarter mile to the Olympic Center and a half mile from the heart of the village, this Main Street location provides an easy opportunity to walk to some of the best restaurants and shops in town.
A shuttle bus stop to Whiteface is steps from the front door, making trips to the mountain or other locations around Lake Placid easy.

The abode grew on us, meaning that whatever quirks it had (all places have quirks - these being the lack of bedside tables with lights, the lack of an entryway light on the stairs) became non-issues as we adjusted to them. Consider that we stayed there as winter went through its last gasp, so the fireplace was particularly helpful. We were thoroughly comfortable (bed, shower, living quarters, nicely appointed kitchen). The location right on the main street is smashing, but by the same token it was busy with pedestrians coming back from bars, I suppose, until at least 3:15 a.m. You will hear them all. Still & all, I would stay there again for sure.

The Host was very responsive to several inquiries. The condo was very nice especially the fireplace. Lake Placid is a special place. Our month stay was perfect.

The property is as pictured. It is roomy and has a well-equipped kitchen and living area. For a short stay, it would be fine. Host was responsive to our request for washcloths. What bothered us most about the property was the noise from traffic, the very loud fan in the bathroom, and a kitchen faucet that was wobbly. There are many small annoyances could be easily fixed...like sinks that don't drain properly, broken faucet knobs, a loose electrical outlet in master bathroom, broken or missing screens, and a dryer that vents into the apartment. The TV is large, but we couldn't get the cable to work. Also, the mattress in the master bedroom is old and not very comfy. For a short stay, this apartment would be fine. It would also be nice for a winter stay because of the wonderful gas fireplace. In the summer, if you want to open the windows to let in a cool evening breeze, you have to put up with very loud traffic.
