    When overall staying experience is negative, it is not easy to find words for review summary, for a voice in my head keeps shouting 'Don't waste your time'. So, I will skip the part about the old facilities and only focus on just one aspect of the hotel-- location. It is simply not for travellers without own transports. The bus terminal is 1.2 km away. It is close to impossible to catch a taxi here in Puli as it is a town of just 77000 population. I tried using Uber to find a taxi and was only successful once. The taxi driver told me I was lucky because he was actually from Taichung and he happened to have just dropped off a passenger in Puli and he was on his way back. He said he wouldn't stay in Puli because there was too little demand for taxi service here. Most of the time, my family used a mix of walking and taking buses to get around. Oh, I must make it clear here. It is actually possible to catch a taxi by asking the receptionist at the hotel counter to call one . Still, you have to wait 10 minutes for the taxi to arrive, and be ready to pay through the nose.
