About this cabin rental

The Madison River Fishing Cabin is a charming private get-a-way located on a braid of the Madison River, near the big bend of the river. The spectacular deck runs the length of the cabin and is perched on the edge of the river itself. Here you'll enjoy relaxing in one of the many cozy deck chairs while listening to the babbling sounds of the river. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a galley kitchen, and a small dining area that overlooks the river and deck. The master bedroom on the main floor has a full bath and a king-size bed. There are two bedrooms upstairs, each with two twin beds, and a shared bathroom. The cabin is located a few miles below the Three Dollar Bridge.

The good (5 stars):Amazing property, directly on a back channel of the Madison River.Easy access, good communication from host, location exactly half way between Ennis and West Yellowstone. The bad (2.5 stars):Check-in instructions a little inaccurate - instructions said code was for key lockbox but instead it was for the digital lock on front door (once we figured that out, no big deal). Also, sign in the mud room requested no shoes in cabin. However, you don't enter the cabin though the mud room, it is off to the side. Had we not gone into it looking for a lighter/matches we would have never seen the sign. So, really not sure if host minds shoes in the cabin or not.Cabin pretty outdated. Beds upstairs very uncomfortable and loud (think it might be time to replace the box springs). Hot! (there is no A/C) If you're sleeping upstairs in the summer, good luck.

The Madison Cabin is a great place to relax for a few days. Kathys place was clean and peaceful; we slept great. Youre right on the Madison River. If you want to fish right from the place, youll need to be prepared to wade across the smaller stream into the faster moving water. It would probably be advisable to just use one of the easier access points a very short drive away in either direction. The drive to Yellowstone National Park is easy (maybe 35 minutes) and there is even closer access to other lakes and rivers for recreation. Communication with Kathy was expedient. We had a great time.
