For a fee, most homes and villas offer onsite private DeBordieu Club amenities such as golf tennis and multiple dining options to DeBordieu Rentals guests. Our natural amenities include miles of beach and tidal creeks an on-site nature preserve with walking trails and bike paths and a delightful year round climate. DeBordieu is more than a vacation destination it is also home to a small number of fortunate folks that enjoy the finest Low Country Lifestyle as either permanent residents or second home owners. Come visit DeBordieu for a few days or a week and you may decide to stay forever.
MAXIMUM VEHICLES: The maximum number of vehicles allowed for this property is 2 and 1 golf cart. The DeBordieu Colony Community Association charges each vehicle a $20 fee to enter the community.
RESTRICTED VEHICLES: RVs, motorcycles, motorbikes, jet skis, and gas-powered golf carts are not permitted in DeBordieu Colony.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP: This home is associated with a Social Membership which gives you access to the 2 community pools at the Beach Club and dining. A temporary club membership can be arranged for $200 a day fee. These costs do not cover individual amenity fees. Nice condo, with good social space.
Generally house was not cleaned well (mirrors, drawers, windows, cabinets) and is very dated interior finishes and appliances.
Enjoyed our stay, despite some issues.

Loved the location next to private pool and short walk to the golf club. We enjoyed our stay, but would not choose to stay at Ruthie's Roost again in the future. The house is dark & dated. The decor doesn't matter to us, but the biggest problem was that the beds are hard and incredibly uncomfortable. Would highly suggest updating the mattresses throughout the house.
