This was our second stay at this place…we love how much space we have for all of the family to be together. There are many things that does need to be updated or fixed. Cleaning is questionable especially the floors.

We had a great time on the island and would definitely return to the area. However, the rental did not meet expectations. The photos were somewhat misleading, and the home was not as clean as expected. We had to clean several areas ourselves—most notably the refrigerator with old food spills—and the towels had a strong sour odor. The home felt very cluttered due to excessive decor, which made it feel less like a rental and more like someone’s private space. The downstairs bathroom had a strong urine smell, the upstairs guest shower showed signs of mold and dirty grout, and the master toilet was loose and unsteady. That said, we did appreciate the games that were provided—they were a nice touch for family game nights. With better cleaning, updates, and less clutter, this property could be much more enjoyable.

Condo was in an excellent location to the beach, very spacious, decorated in tasteful beach decor, equipped with everything needed. Very pleased for the cost of the unit. Family had a wonderful time would like to come back when weather a little warmer. Only negative comment is that the condo seems to be an older development and has some cosmetic issues but nothing that affected our stay. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

This condo has everything you need to enjoy a large family getaway. We were able to easily prepare Thanksgiving dinner as well as many other meals. The kitchen is well stocked! The unit is large enough that 8 of us were able to spread out and have family time as well as alone time. Would definitely recommend this condo!

It was a great stay & we had a fantastic time! We would stay again. Only complaint we really had was the freezer was dirty & the ice maker was dirty we had to clean them both first thing to even use them. Not sure the floors had been mopped either.

Any questions were readily answered by Rhonda. It was nice to get to the beach easily, but there were some disappointments. There was really only one bedroom with a closet. The downstairs room had lumber in one closet and half filled shelves in the other. Another rm had no closet at all. Whoever is supposed to clean has not washed floors in a very long time. Our feet were so black that it looked like black ink flowing in the shower.

We loved our stay here…the condo had everything we needed; kitchen was well stocked and the unit had a lively dining room table that we gathered around for meals. We enjoyed our ocean view and the bedrooms were nice and spacious with comfortable mattresses. We met one of the neighbors and the owner and they were very nice and helpful. We will remember this trip as a very special place to share quality family time!

We had a great time staying at the property with our 6 kids ranging in age from 8-15 years old. We did condo, beach, pool repeat all week. The sunsets were gorgeous and it was the perfect relaxed, family atmosphere we were looking for our big group! We would totally come back next year!

My family and I really enjoyed staying in this unit. Having the two stories made it feel as if we were staying in a house. It is older, but does have some upgrades. The kids had plenty of room upstairs (5 boys and 2 girls) while hubby and I had downstairs. Just a short walk to the beach (you can see the water from the unit, but not the sand), on sidewalks to the boardwalk, or you can cut thru the grass for quicker access. Although, mosquitos were in full force, so we didn’t go thru the grass often. The kids liked the pool…it says 3 ft but most definitely felt deeper, so think life jackets for smaller kids. It goes to 8 ft. The island is quiet and about 20 mins to the nearest Dollar General and about 40 mins to the nearest Walmart. If you are church goers, there is Dauphin Island Baptist that is only 5 minutes from the condos that we enjoyed. It was definitely a pleasant stay, even with all the rainy days we had. Several games in the cabinet for the kids and satellite to watch tv. Rhonda was great to respond quickly when the dryer didn’t want to dry and a curtain rod fell, and promptly came out the next morning. Thanks so much for being a great host…I would recommend!

The house was older than what was showed online but, big enough and everything we needed to space out. Not a long walk to beach. Beach was not crowded at all we could always go at night and search for crabs the kids and grandkids enjoyed it so much. The pool was never over crowded. This was one of my favorite places to go.

This is exactly what my heart needed. From the moment we got to the property all the worries of everyday life just melted away. The condo was clean and beautiful. It had all of the normal items from home and we really didn't need anything. The internet connection was a little spotty but that was to be expected because of where we were and it helped to not have our phones connected to us. The beach and pool areas were just amazing. This little island is perfect to get away. Thank you so much to our hosts for making this stay so wonderful.

I’ll start by giving the layout of the house which could be more helpful in the property details. There is one bedroom with a bathroom downstairs. There is huge bedroom upstairs with queen (i think) bed, bunk beds, small couch, and still plenty of extra room. There’s a bathroom upstairs. Another room next to that bathroom. Another room with attached bathroom. There’s also an extra living area upstairs and a balcony. This place is VERY LARGE and will easily accommodate a large group. The walk to the beach was easy and not far at all, although would have been better if the grass was cut. Restaurants on the island were soooo good. We took the ferry to Fort Morgan then drove to Gulf Shores. Probably faster just driving around (1.5 drive) but kids loved the ferry. Island is secluded and beach was not busy at all. We will absolutely return. Possibly our new yearly vacation spot!!!

Our stay was really great! There are lots of amenities including lots of cooking utensils, kids plates/forks/spoons, spices, detergent, plenty of towels for bathing and soap for the kitchen and bathrooms. There was even a box fan and a couple hair dryers and a straightener. This unit is the furthest back and the walk to the beach is not far at all. It’s pretty secluded and the beach was not crowded. It was a nice walk down the beach either direction... to the west it gets even more secluded and that’s where we saw some birds, to the east are some nice beach houses to gaze at. The pool was clean and the kids loved it. I think they loved the stairs and bunk beds more than the beach or pool though! There is a landline which was nice because cell calls were very poor quality. It came in handy when one of us ran to the store and needed to call for something. There are 2 alexas, a TV in each bedroom, games and movies. There was plenty of hot water and water pressure. At one point, all the showers were in use and no one ran out of hot water and I was able to wash the conditioner out of my hair, which is thick and long. There is plenty of space and my 19 month old daughter was able to sleep upstairs without being disturbed by everyone else, even the other kids playing upstairs (my daughter was asleep by around 7 each night). There is a thermostat upstairs and downstairs. Lots of great things about this place. It is a bit of a drive to the nearest Walmart, but there are a couple gas stations on the island and a dollar general that is closer than the Walmart. Everyone enjoyed visiting Fort Gaines too! The water at the beach was not clear while we were there. Not sure if that’s always the case or if it was the time of year. It was hard to see but was clearer on some days than others. Overall we really loved our stay here!

We had an absolutely amazing time. The beach wasn't crowded and the condo couldn't have been better. Plenty of space for all four of our kids to have their own place to rest, grandparents to rest in the nice room close to the front door and away from the noise of the kids, and an amazing master suite for us to be able to enjoy but access the kids' rooms quickly and conveniently. It exceeded every expectation. The only issue we had was a neighbor miscommunicating with the owner something the PREVIOUS group had done and we received a very direct and unkind voicemail. We try to be respectful and good guests so this definitely put a negative spin on the trip mid-way through. I tried to get back in touch with the manager who called but was told they were gone and someone would relay the message. They never called back and we just felt that follow up letting us know everything was resolved would have been nice, but nonetheless we had a fabulous time. Additionally, we've never been in a place that left so much open to use by renters. Usually everything is locked away. There were blankets, kitchen utensils, some spices, and kids plates, bowls, etc. a-plenty! It was a nice surprise. We would LOVE to come back to this place again and again.

We went with another family so we had 4 adults and 6 kids. There was PLENTY of room. I especially loved the huge table we all fit at. There is a large "yard" in between the condos where we played football, soccer, and just ran around. The pool was much nicer than the photo. The beach was a little disappointing. The walk there was short, and the sand nice, but there were jellyfish so we couldn't really comfortably swim in the ocean. Lots of games Lots of pots and pans (could have used a larger skillet or griddle), plenty of dishes, silverware and glasses. Additional spatulas is probably the only thing missing...there were all kinds of other helpful things like a crockpot and ice cream maker should you need those. Also, there were tons of spices and a few other "staples" available. Many of the rooms had TVs and DVD players but the connecting cords were tricky to find and connect. There was a wii with games the kids enjoyed and LOTS of VHS tapes (lol) Wish we'd found the VHS player earlier in the week and been able to show the kids how we watched movies in the "olden" days. We ate take out twice: once at Miguel's tacos and once at Skinner's Seafood. Both very very good. We had the most relaxing vacation. We went in October and were the only vacationers. I believe there were a few other owners there, but we didn't really see anyone else besides the lawn guy and the pool lady. We were the only renters. Overall...I gave it a 4. We came for the beach so were pretty bummed about the jellyfish, but that's probably on us for being unaware mid-westerners. We had fun. We'd recommend it but maybe wouldn't go back to the same place again.

Property was not clean. The listing said 12 people, when we got there we were told we could absolutely have no more than 10. they finally let us have 12. We were not told in advance that we could not have any blow up mattresses for the kids to sleep on, so instead of sending some people the 500+ miles home we rented another house which cost us another $625.00. There was absolutely no communication with the property managers and no willingness to work with us other than renting the second house. We will NEVER go there again. We left the condo MUCH cleaner than we found it.

Relaxing Beach Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The condo is large and accommodating to bigger families. We had 11 people with us and never felt cramped. There is one bedroom downstairs by the kitchen with a queen size bed. The other three bedrooms are upstairs. Two of those have king size beds and the other has a king, two twins and a sleeper sofa. There are at least two other sleeper sofa's in the condo. The condo is a little older, but much care has been taken in the unit. As for the amenities, the unit is well stocked. The carpets have not been replaced, but was not a big deal to us. There was a coleman gas grill in one of the closets that folded up nicely. I could see where some may have missed the grill. There was a full gas cylinder in the closet also. Our kids loved the nintendo wii. It was a big hit, there were many games of bowling, baketball, golf, etc. played while we were there. Bring some batteries! We enjoyed the fact that the island was a little remote. It was about a 30 min drive to Mobile. While it may be a little inconvenient to run get a gallon of milk(a Dollar General was about 12 mins away), it was well made up for in the fact that there was not bumper to bumper traffic. We ate in most days, but did eat at the little bbq place towards the west end of the island. It was terrific! I would recommend visiting the west end of the island, especially around sunset. It was a great place for pictures. They also showed movies on the west end beach at dark on several nights. Our family loves combing the beach for treasures. We did find some shells and a couple of shark teeth close to the condo. I would recommend walking west on the beach towards the golf course. You will quickly leave the crowds behind. It almost felt like we were the only ones on the island. Very peaceful and unlike many of the crowded beach towns. There did seem to be more shells on the west end of the island. I guess the sand bar that jets out near the golf course keeps some of the shells from coming onshore closer to the property. Rhonda did provide our family with a certificate that covered the green fees at the local golf course. The course itself was a little rough, but new management has just recently taken over and is committed to making it a great course again. They seemed to be good folks and were working hard to revive the course. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at the property and on the island. It was a great experience and we would gladly return anytime!
