Dune Refuge is a 3-bedroom Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan beach house with unobstructed views of the Gulf and beach. The house is adjacent to the wildlife refuge, so there is no development in front of the house or to the East! You can walk miles of undeveloped beach and experience the beach as it was 50 years ago. There is a boardwalk, which is a short walk from the back door of the beach house. This Fort Morgan Beach house is not far from the action of Gulf Shores, Alabama. In fact, it is only 8 miles from Hwy 59 in Gulf Shores. Dune Refuge is a remodeled beach house with wonderful covered porches to enjoy the view and sound of the waves. The tile throughout the lower level and the granite countertops give this house a clean, luxurious feel.

I had to report a bug in the sink but they immediately sent someone to spray . But it was clean , we loved being to walk down to the beach and the veiw was amazing.

Prickett Properties is a pleasure to work with. They are always available to answer any questions and the office staff is friendly and helpful. This year we needed assistance to help carry in our belongs due to health issues and they were able to provide that service. Leroy from maintenance is always attentive and helpful. We enjoy our time at Dune Refuge which is comfortable and has everything we need in a home. We are looking forward to returning next year!!
The only problem that we had was the vacuum needed repair or replacing (the roller bush would not rotate). Loved the new stove. Owner may consider replacing the dishwasher as the racks are rusting out.

The location was wonderful; very short walk to beach. Weekends and holidays there are many people who access the beach at this location but it is still not crowded; weekdays are very quiet and usually only a few people. The house is nice.Unfortunately, the house had many unresolved issues, such as damage to walls, back door and doorknob needs replacing or repair, incomplete wiring repairs in kitchen area; extremely slow draining bathtubs; rusty dishwasher with sprung door and detergent compartment door not releasing detergent in cycle. The cleanliness was severely lacking. I had to clean the kitchen sink and upstairs bathtub. The walls and baseboards are dusty and dirty. The house was not in a condition that warranted the price we paid.Management has been made aware of these issues and I believe intends to address them.
