Beautifully decorated flat, very neat & functional, all mod cons, yet warm colour scheme with soft furnishings, decorative objects and plants, so both living space & bedroom had a cosy and homely feel. The wide, sunny windows allow good airing whilst the presence of blinds and the curtain in the living room, help manage temperatures. The kitchen area has all you need, not least two types of coffee makers! The compact bedroom still offers ample storage options (if one travels fairly light): various shelves, plenty of hangers, some hooks, a couple of drawers. The view from the flat is fine (overlooks the road below and the free car parking spaces opposite & has no direct vis-a vis: in the distance, you see trees + the carpark of the nearby supermarket (very handy for shopping & overnight parking!) and you can even see the sea front, if you look out to the left. As the flat is on the first floor, and the house has the traditional thick stone walls, it is never too hot (unlike flats that are under roofs). There is a pretty little courtyard downstairs with lovely hydrangeas and agapanthus and a little table where one could sip a cool drink, either in the shade or in the sun, depending on the time of day. Mireille is very welcoming and helpful with advice on visits etc. You walk down the road to the left, about 2 minutes to the sea front past a karaoke bar, a creperie and a pizza restaurant, each with terraces, some shaded. The harbour is beautiful and very peaceful to look at in the evening around the golden hour. On the other side of the harbour, there are good eateries with shaded terraces, and more parking spaces (free) . You walk past these to get to the supermarket ( which sells tasty fresh croissants and bread, has a neat glass recycling point and a petrol station ) There is also a very friendly and competent hairdresser to the side of the Supermarket car park. Beautiful coastal walks to the east and west!!!

The shower was a bit iffy, but we managed to make it work for us. It could do with being updated. At weekends, the karaoke bar is open til about 1am. If you sleep with the window open, that will be a problem. We just adjusted our bedtime routine, and using quality earplugs helps, too.
