About this cabin rental

This charming cabin in Ohio's Hocking Hills has hand-hewn-log siding, a saltbox roof line, and a broad front porch, with a swing and hot tub under edison string lights, in view of the firepit. Inside: exposed-beam walls and ceiling; hardwood floors; stone, wood-burning fireplace in the dining and living area. Skylights brighten the spaces and a tiny balcony affords outdoor access to the upstairs bedroom. Great fit for 2-6 people. SITE Close to town and to Lake Logan. Aspen – Hocking Hills is tucked into the woods near three other Chalets, on Blosser Road, convenient to Route 33 and the city of Logan. The closest state park is Lake Logan, 1.5 miles, a 5-minute drive. Old Man’s Cave is, 10 miles, a 15-minute drive. The Chalets front desk is 7 miles, away. For your convenience, online check-in is available, so you can go directly to the Aspen – Hocking Hills, without stopping at the Chalets’ front desk, first. SIMILAR If you like Aspen, you may also like Hawk’s Peak. Alpine and Cumberland are close by and similar, but sleep just four.

We arrived at the property and tried to get in the code for the door was not working. Called the office and the recording said that they were closed. No emergency number. We drove to the office which was a distance away. Found the emergency numbers and called both no answer we were locked out for over two hrs. I had an ice cream birthday cake that melted. When we finally got someone to call us back they couldn’t believe the code didn’t work they said they were a good ways away from us and it would be a while longer. Someone did call back and gave us a maintenance code that did work. Very frustrating that we were lock out for hours with no emergency numbers on the door at the cabin.

The cabin was really cute! Enjoyed the clean hot tub, and the beds & pillows were super comfy! This cabin is the most secluded of all of them and we loved getting to sit around our fire and listening to music. We only got to stay 1 night, but the kitchen had everything we would need to cook meals if we were there longer.I would just suggest if you love watching sports like the Buckeyes, to see what streaming platform they are that day so you can connect on the ROKU (we weren't there to watch tv, but my husband insisted on watching the game on his phone LOL)

Very clean and very enjoyable. There hadn't been any rain so the waterfalls were dry but,we will rerurn again. Hopefully before the year is over.

It was clean, but carpets and bedrooms could definitely use a refresh. We could not turn the thermostat below 72 degrees per the placard or risk the AC unit freezing up. We also saw a big spider near the couch which I know is expected in a house near the woods. It was a little bit farther out from the park than we would have preferred, but overall a decent experience.

We went to Hocking Hills to be in nature for the weekend. It was absolutely perfect having a cabin in the woods. As soon as we arrived we saw wild turkeys beside the cabin. The next day we saw deer walking beside the home headed to the lake. Location is awesome for the sites and a coffee house within walking distance helped with the mornings too. Hot tub got used and we played card games in the evening as a family. We cooked our meals with ease, everything we needed was there for cooking. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms for the 4 of us. It was a wonderful weekend escape and we definitely plan to do it again!

Our chalet was within a few minutes drive of natural and tourist attractions and restaurants, but it felt secluded. It was clean and as described. We really enjoyed the family sized dining table and the hot tub. We could have been comfortable there for a week, although we only stayed two nights. We'd definitely go back.

Chalets of Hocking Hills has an abundance of properties, yet our cabin was nestled in a wooded glen, very private. The cabin was exactly as advertised - clean, comfortable, cozy. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms were just right for our family, and, of course, the family dog. We had a great stay!

The Chalet Aspen was so great. It was so clean and equipped with all the amenities we needed. We had an issue with the hot tub and maintenance came right over to take of it. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for helping make my daughter’s 16 th birthday special.

We loved the Chalets! So quaint and has all the woodsy feeling with the convenience of being near down town Hocking Hills. Only 15 minutes from all the hiking and a hot tub for relaxing after those long hikes. The cabin was clean, stocked, and check in and check out was a breeze. We highly recommend!

We can't express how amazing the cabin was for three ladies in their late 40's that have been friends since 7th grade! This cabin is everything and MORE than per the description. Chalets in Hocking Hills is our only go to place moving forward! PS we did not find the hidden $10 - so keep it going...

The cabin itself was beautiful. It was extremely clean and well stocked with supplies. The beds were very very comfortable. The tv and internet worked great. Check in was easy and everything went smooth. The location to Lake Logan and to Hocking Hills State Park is good. If I had to make any suggestions it would be to bring a table to eat outside. We were disappointed not to be able to eat outside. Also the outside grill is old and rusting.

Such a fun weekend in the woods with friends. Close enough to have a short drive to many hiking trails and far away enough to feel like we had adequate privacy and quietness. The inside of the house was so roomy for 3 couples, 2 dogs, and a baby! We had a great time and would recommend

The cabin was perfect size for our family of 4, it would work for a family of 6 as well. The location was central to all our hiking destinations. I suggest bringing extra camp chairs for relaxing on the porch or around the camp fire.

Need brighter and more lighting in living room, bedrooms. More chairs or luggage rack needed. No chairs in bedroom at this cabin. Front porch was very pleasent and enjoyed the fire pit. Thanks for everything.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were adequate for our needs, though one downside was the lack of any soundproofing; the walls are extremely thin, so you could hear everything all over the cabin. No such thing as privacy then. The bare minimum was available as far as cookware, which we were aware of, so we came prepared to make it work. Not having any scrub pads for the kitchen pots and pans or any paper towels to aid with cleanup was inconvenient. The benches built around the fire pit were nice but there should be more rock/gravel around the fire pit to keep the potential for ashes starting an accidental fire happening at a minimum. We very much appreciated access to Wi-Fi ( it is a necessity), but having access to a small video library would have made the rainy days a bit more fun. We brought our own games for this reason, but making such available for guests would be a nice extra touch. We were a bit closer to the road than I thought we might be so it didn’t really feel like a day out in the woods, and we had another cabin virtually on top of us (the first night here we overheard a lot of carrying on at this cabin, so again, not really private or quiet). Overall, we had a decent stay but there’s room for improvement.
