If you enjoy architecture Asheville has many historic buildings and churches with some very unique features like the Grove Arcade, St. Lawrence Basilica, S&W Building, and Woolworth building with the original soda fountain counter still serving sandwiches and milk shakes. There are many day trips too. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just a ten-minute drive away. Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, where the movies Dirty Dancing and Last of the Mohicans were filmed, are a few “must sees”. Our month-long stay at this charming Montford bungalow was absolutely wonderful. The home is warm, cozy, and full of character, set in a gorgeous historic neighborhood. Everything we needed was provided—comfy beds, reliable Wi-Fi, and a well-stocked kitchen with a great agas stove. The wide front porch with its swing quickly became our favorite spot to unwind. We stayed with our small dog, and the neighborhood could not have been more welcoming. On our daily walks through the tree-lined streets and nearby greenway, we met so many friendly neighbors, which really added to the experience. The location is also fantastic—within walking distance to downtown, the YMCA, and even three grocery stores, making it both convenient and fun to explore without always needing a car. This bungalow truly felt like home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the summer. We would love to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Asheville’s Montford neighborhood!

My wife and I had an excellent stay with our dogs. The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood that's walking distance to downtown but also has some great options for food/drinks right in the area. Would definitely stay here again!
